What do you guys do for a living?

We had this thread about 6 months back, but we've gained several new people since then. It was really interesting to find out what a lot of you do for a living, so I'll start it up one more time.

Me: Computer Programmer... However I'm currently thinking about taking a big risk and attempting to start my own business.

What do you do for a living?

I am currently the head tech at Best Buy (yea yea geek squad I know), but I am soon to take over be a service manager for Best Buy(more time to mess around on bobcatsplanet ).

I'm also majoring in network and communication management @ Devry (only 6 more semesters!)

BTW..How old is everyone? I'm 21.

i'm just finished my freshman year at wingate university (not winthrop) in monroe. i run for the cross country team here. im 19

For awhile it was fun, then reality set in. Fell in love with a woman who had 2 little girls and I had to find a way to support them.....1 is in college at NCSU made deans list! The other is ranked 2nd in her class and also plans on going to NCSU, she's only a Junior in High School though and if she changes her mind as much as her sister there is no telling where she'll go.
I stopped "partying" when I started raising them, life has been much more satisfying but no where near as much fun.

Congratulations, it sounds like you did a great job raising those 2 girls. I have 2 small kids myself and I understand how much work it is and how expensive it is to raise them.

I think I did. It is probably the only thing, or at least the main thing that I'm proud of. Both of them don't know their fathers. I've always been that to them and the pride in seeing them turn in to what they want is just overwelming. I can't improve myself much right now. Just keep plugging along in labor jobs, because it would take away from grants and such that they get to go to college.

There is a commercial on the radio about smoking weed. It goes something like this. simon says lay down on the carpet, now stay there for 3 hours. Fail a class and don't care. For those who have had a "clean" life you really can't grasp how true that is.

But all in all I'm a happy camper. Weird though I went from a life with a maid, and money,money and more money, and being unhappy. To living in a mobile home with 17 chinese pugs and 3 WVA women to be happy! lol
