Default I'm Convinced. Jordan is getting Durant.

Jordan is absolutely enamaored with Durant (as are many other teams, obviously).

I think Jordan is going to trade with Seattle. Seattle only has 10 players signed for the upcoming season (11 if you include Rashard Lewis) and they are near the salary cap. I think Seattle will re-sign Lewis. Now this is where it gets interesting.

We've got tons of cash. While Seattle doesn't have any really glaring "bad" contracts (On Allen and Lewis have 10+ mil contracts a year) they are definitely on rebuilding road. Durant does not fill a need since Lewis plays SF and Allen plays SG. I honestly see Jordan pursuing this heavily because they could fill a need with the 2 draft picks (I see a trade with hometown man Morrison). They could even aim towards Raymond because the Sonics are not sold on Ridnour at all and need someone to lead the team, even though I'd like to avoid giving Ray up.

I think that it may take a conditional 1st rounder of next year, the #8 this year, and Adam but I think Jordan is gearing up to try to hit a homerun for this franchise.

If Portland/Seattle were switched I wouldn't even consider it. But since Lewis is likely to be resigned I don't see a glaring need for another SF, even if he is the potential next MJ.

Get it done Jordan. Get it done!

I think it was you that said on another thread "why have a message board if you can't post dreams(maybe it was wishful thinking)" Nobody is going to pry either of those pics away. I'd love to have Durant, but we could offer them or next 3 first round pics with no conditions and they'd still laugh at us.

Jordan is going to surprise us somehow. I'm not certain what (hopefully my durant dream comes true). I don't know how. He's going to pull off something HUGE. Our first bigtime deal of any sort. I can feel it. As soon as the playoffs are over, we're going to spend like Jordan told us he would: like a champion.

So, with the trade scenerio you have here then you must be thinking of a line-up somewhere along the lines of

    Felton
    Wallace
    Hermann or Durant
    Durant or Hermann
    Okafor

Well, that would be my line-up anyway.

It wouldn't surprise me at all I'd love for us to make that kind of move on draft day we just have to wait and see.

I would do close, except I would switch Durant and Wallace since Durant is a better perimeter shooter.

This should add some feul to Bumpus' argument. There are others who also think (me included) that neither Oden or Durant will ever suit up for the Sonics

I'll have to see it to belive it. Jordan has done NOTHING, from his past experience's as a front office guy in Washington until now. What makes you think he's gonna start now? Jordan was the greatest NBA player ever, but he's one of the shittiest owners ever!

i could see it happening.... Seattle is in turmoil and they have no need for a SG or a SF. nor do they have the money to keep all the players once they sign either oden or durant.

Not to mention their owner is completly useless in seattle and really doesnt care about the team.

Having Durant in Charlotte would do so many thing. Jordan is here. this kid is a lot like jordan in that hes heartless and near unstoppable. so that connection would be priceless. We need that big name star. and a lineup of Felton, Durant, Wallace, Okafor/May, and Okafor/primoz... is a stout lineup, capable of scoring and defending. i honestly think if the big guys hold up their end we would be among the best teams in the east immediately.

dont hate on Jordans GM skills yet, he gets a bad wrap for takin Kwame Brown... but most GM's would have done it too, and Kwame is actually playing well now.
I see that a big problem in Pro leagues everywhere that owners and GMs are scared to trade for fear of getting hosed. (someone gets the shaft in every trade almost). I look at Jordan and see the one guy in charge of personell in sports, as the guy who has balls to gamble(we know he likes to gamble).

what it takes, and if Seattle would ever consider it... are the only obstacles.

I'd give them #8, #22, Next year's first round pick and hometown boy "Spokane's Most Wanted" Adam Morrison.
