    Default Joakim Noah at #8

I don't want it to happen, but with Hibbert pulling out of the draft, I think that we should prepare ourselves for the probability of it happening. Heres how I see draft night shaking down.

    1. Portland - Oden. There'll be tons of discussion about taking Durant, but at the end of the day, you just can't pass on Oden.

    2. Seattle - Durant. If they pass on him, they should immediately be removed from the league.

    3. Atlanta - Mike Conley Jr. Its too high to take him, but the Hawks are desperate for a PG and their front office people are idiots.

    4. Memphis Grizzlies - Brandon Wright. He'd be a good fit to play alongside Rudy Gay and Pao Gasol

    5. Boston Celtics - Yi Jiianlian. From what I've read, Danny Ainge has a severe man-crush on Yi.

    6. Milwaukee Bucks - Al Horford. He is an absolute steal at #6, and a good fit beside Bogut.

    7. T-Wolves - Corey Brewer. Hes the best player available at 7, and would strengthen up the T-Wolves SG/SF spot.

    8. Us - Joakim Noah.... Winner of 2 National and championships and a great motor. I can see Bernie Bickerstaff salivating already.

Someone please tell me how we are going to avoid this doomsday scenario.

He will be the best available big man. We could go small like Jeff Green.

I'd rather take spencer hawes over noah. at least hawes has an offensive game.

Like many people know, i hate joakim noah because he is overrated and will amount to less than sean may in the nba

Hawes will probably be able to score like Zach Randolph, and I would't mind that with us having Okafor.

Hawes just seems to me to be another big lumbering white center with a great back to basket game.
I wouldnt mind having him, but i just dont see him fitting in with us. and would probally slow us down.

If we have to stay at 8 and 22.. id say grab Brewer with the 8 and Tiago Splitter with the 22.
IF that scenario plays out.. ill be the happiest man in North Carolina.
We get a good scoring and defending SG and a promising 7footer with loads of potential. (but we couldnt get him until 2009 i think.
Espns latest mock has us taking Brewer and Ante Tomic. a 20 year old center from Croatia... that happens to be 7 2. if hes one iota better than primoz id be happy to have him.

I think we all would hate picking Noah because he has no offensive upside, but with it coming out that Vincent's forte is defense and Bernie loving athletic, long guys, he might be the one we get stuck with, and we will join the Boston Celtics in line to take the great leap.
