I can accept Primoz as a 15 minute a night backup, but in no way, shape or form do I want him to be our starter at center next season.
The gastonia news reported today thet Primoz has decided not to opt out of his contract for the 2008 season.
It said he would make about 2 mil 700 thousand next year.
What is your thoughts on his disision. The price is right and being healthy he may be a decent back up or help out as trade bait thoughts.
Thanks Ammofan!
sure, I don't mind him as a backup as in limited minutes he's OK. I'll even go a step further Ziggy and offer him 17 minutes![]()
Who the fuck is Dominic Mcguire
I like Primoz..just not as our starter. I'm happy with him being our back-up.
I hope to God we atleast try to make a move for Jamison.
RIP Michael Jackson & Steve McNair
For what hes coming back for him and B.K will make good trade bait. eaton i agree with you i want us to make a run at Jamison to.
Thanks Ammofan!
primoz first year with charlotte, he played with intensity, and drive.
Last year he was timid weak, and terrible
hes 7 foot, not terribly slow, has a great mid range shot, (notice i didnt say midrange jumper, because that would require jumping more than 2 inches) He has the tools to be a good center maybe even the starter... but if he plays timid and weak he can never be good.
He needs to get healthy this offseason, eat well, gain muscle and weight, and get a grit about him... get mean get nasty and then i really think he would be a great 25-30 minute player.
but as it stands now, hes 20 minutes tops on a good night.
That first season I saw some great amounts of rebounds and points being scored. some actual contribution. Once he had that fatigue problem at the beginning of the year it all went downhill. If he gets back to expansion form I'd like him.
Who the fuck is Dominic Mcguire
nice bench player. good contributor. rarely aggressive. trade bait. formerly on the run for most improved player. other than that, there's not much more i could say of him.
TADSZ
He made a very sensible decision. I still think some other team could offer him a 3.5 mil/yr contract, but if he plays as well as expansion yr, he may have an even better contract offer in 2008.
He is the type of player that I love, but I don't see him as a starter next year, either.
