People's Daily has Yi Jianlian going at No. 9 to the Bulls, but there are also rumors that the Warriors could be trying to trade up to get him.
The Bulls desperately need a post scorer like Yi, and its deep, youthful roster would allow him time to develop. It appears that Yi would flourish under Don Nelson's free-wheeling offensive game and they lack an athletic, scoring power forward. The Warriors currently hold the 18th pick in the draft and there are rumors that they would trade the pick and Jason Richardson to move up. We've heard they're targeting the Celtics (4th pick), Grizzlies (5th pick) and Bobcats (8th pick).

Yeah, getting Richardson would solve our SG problems, and with the 18th pick we might would be able to get a big like Jason Smith from Colorado. Or like 123 said trade the 18th and 22nd to move up in the draft.

Agreed. I'm not sure if it would be a feasible trade for Warriors (Monta Ellis is no Richardson), but if they solicited the trade, we'd have to take it, unless MJ and Co. are completely enamored with a draftee.

the thing is, Yi will be gone before the 8th pick. so they wont trade until they are positive they can get him. which wont happpen.

and if Yi falls to us... why not take him and run. forget trading.

Only thing is J-rich is more sure of a thing than Yi.


I think if we can get j-rich and the 18...i'd happily take that. @ 18 we can take a risk on Splitter or Gasol.
