I cringe at the idea of another Tarheel, but Wright has the most potential of anyone on the board.
Hey guys,
I'm representing the site for a mock draft, and am having a tough choice on who we draft, representing our cats as well as the site. It's on sportsprojections.com, and here is how the current draft has turned out, based on various team forums from around the nation:
1. Portland - Oden
2. Seattle - Durant
3. Atlanta - Horford
4. Memphis - Conley Jr.
5. Boston - Yi
6. Milwaukee - Jeff Green
7. Minnesota - Corey Brewer
8. Charlotte -
Right now, I'm really leaning towards Wright, because the potential is definitely there, he fills a need as we need a talented big guy, and with us not being able to trade the pick, definitely makes it tough.
I'm also considering Nick Young or Julian Wright, because Young has the talent and fire of Rip Hamilton, and Wright has huge potential and is very versatile.
What are your guys thoughts, and please vote so we can make our choice!

Who the fuck is Dominic Mcguire
Wright, Its a no brainer . I know hes a Tarheel and im a Heel fan , but that has nothing to do with the pick. We need a big and whats left on the board its no way i could pick some one else. Saying that i will say it a lot of the first seven i would pick over him including Horford, Brewer, Yi, Oden,Durant,
I would take Wright over Conley and Green though.
Thanks Ammofan!
Seriously I would say Wright simply because he's a big man and yall know how high I'm on Nick Young.
RIP Michael Jackson & Steve McNair
as much as it pains me to add yet another tar heel to this already croneytastic team... you gotta take brandon wright here.
just hope he gets a little fire under his butt.
on second thought i say reach for Young, screw it take Noah... im not sure i can handle another tar heel.
if wright is available, we've got to take him at #8. on talent alone he's the third most talented player in the draft. if he was 30 lbs bigger right now, he would be in the top 3 no doubts
I don't know about him being the third best player in the draft I'd give that nod to Al Horford.Originally Posted by 123together

on talent alone id have Wright around 5th behind Durant, Oden, Horford, Brewer.
Production wise i dont think hes even close.
id still take him at 8 and not cry too much.
I turned in our draft pick to the commissioner *drum roll*.......
Brandan Wright UNC PF
Largely a Best player available (or left depending on who you're talking to) pick, it is believed by many that Wright is the player with the most upside not named Oden or Durant. He has soft hands, excellent defense, and terrific post skills. Many believe he doesn't have enough passion for the game, but that didn't stop Rudy Gay or Charlie Villanueva from having inspiring rookie campaigns. He needs to get stronger, as he is only 210 pounds, but is only 19 and has plenty of room for growth. He is a player that will either be considered a major steal, or a major bust. MJ will pick the Tarheel, and hopefully the already large UNC family involved with the 'cats will help his transition, as he could be the next Chris Bosh.
Who the fuck is Dominic Mcguire
He is the correct pick here. The only player I'd take before him excluding the obvious Oden/Durant, is Corey Brewer, which is looking less and less likelyOriginally Posted by Bumpus
That said, Brandan is a phenomenal inside player with the silkiest of silky smooth jump hooks, and jump shots from 12 ft. and within. Also, he's got pogo sticks for legs, and has an incredible wingspan. He needs some bulk, but no so much that he loses his finesse; needs to work on his endurance (he too often gave the "fist" even when the Heels weren't in all-out fastbreak mode, I think); and those free throws need major help. Lee Rose can work with him to improve his mechanics.
All in all, the Bobcats coming home with Brandan plus someone at 22 would be a major coup!
"The Charlotte Hornets name has been a mainstay throughout the region for many years, and we are excited to announce our intention to re-establish this historic brand. We believe that its return will galvanize our fan base by unifying our loyal Bobcats fans with those who have strong memories of our city's NBA predecessor." MJ, 5-21-13
