count me in!
my class doesn't start at 10am anyways(i have a 12 hr. differential ET here, hahaha), so i'd be an early bird and bobcats cheerer come draft day! wohoo!![]()
If anyone was not aware, the NBA draft is Thursday, June 28th @ 7:30PM on ESPN. It's scheduled to end at midnight.
Who will be able to watch it? I know I made sure I didn't work that night, because honestly, how can you miss this huge night? It's like your wedding night - you certainly don't want to miss the action even though you've probably gone through it before plenty of times.
I'd like to point out that bobcatsplanet has a chat feature on the site and hopefully all the regulars and the new guys come join so we can discuss and hopefully rejoice in our awesome picks, or trades this year. So Ziggy and I invite you to join us, starting at 7PM (or earlier, depending on how little of a life you have: I'll probably be there at 3).
Drink some beer, eat some nachos and wings, annoy the hell outta your girlfriend, and watch the cats from the comfort of your couch (or chair for all you desktop people). We gotta support and believe!

I'll be here. Great idea! This way I can't embarass myself at Bobcats Arena if we draft someone I don't like.

It'll be 2.30 am here, and I'll probably be able to watch it. Last year NBATV international had showed it, I hope this year they will as well.
I may stay at chat room until draft hour, since I have TV at other room, I'll have to leave the room.

im gonna post a link on the Charlotte observer bobcats message board.... cause most of those guys are missing out on a much better board...
but i just signed up and it takes 48 freakin hours to register... ridiculous. so if any one has an account already go ahead and try and recruit some new dudes.
I tried, but aparently being subscribed to Charlotte.com is different than the actual Observer message board, go figure.
Anyways, from reading as a "guest", it does seem like a bunch of those guys want to chat somewhere, as the consensus looks like most of them are from out of Charlotte or unavailable for the actual draft party at the arena.

AAAGGGGHHHHH!!! I am trying my best to think of a way to sneak away from the family and activities Thursday night for about 3 hours to sit down and enjoy the draft
The only thing that I've been able to come up with so far is possibly faking a seizure... They have cable TV and internet access in the hospital, Right
Folks, you have to help me come up with something. As a borderline psychotic draftnick and NBA fan, I must find a way to duck the family Thursday night and see this draft, I haven't missed one in about 15 years.
Any ideas?
That's an easy one, the oldest excuse in the book, and one that the ladies aren't hesitant about using: the goold old fashioned headache!!Originally Posted by ziggy
As far as the draft goes, I'll be keeping up with the draft, but won't be available for the draft party until 10 or so. Hopefully, some of you guys will still be left around.

lf all else fails, you can always take them out to a sports bar, or a Damons that has TV's everywhere![]()
