"The Bobcats don't have nearly enough young talent to trade potential away for veterans. This is a core that is not even lose to competing for a championship, so while trading for Jason Richardson (with 4 years and 48 million left on his deal) will make them better in the short term, holding onto Brandan Wright would have given them much more long term promise. There does not appear to be any long term plan in place. The Bobcats gave away their 10 million trade exception in the deal as well, which is inexcusable. Jared Dudley was a bit of a reach at 22, but should provide a Brian Cardinal type of toughness and hustle player. Davidson showed great heart playing through the family tragedy (losing both his brother and girlfriend in unrelated incidents within a week of each other), he's a sharp shooting 4, but will likely struggle with the strength of NBA post players."

They obviously don't know their CBA, but to be fair no one really does. Just another example of the national "media" (using it lightly) not understanding the specifics to the Cats situation.

There's no long term plan in place? I guess the whole roster being the youngest team in the league isn't a long term solution. The national media treats us like an NBA little brother team....little Charlotte should just keep proggressing and winning 5 more games a year until 2012 when they can compete for the playoffs...they can kiss my ass.

- The same Kirk Hinrich that is the 3rd scoring option, shoots for low % and just surpassed the 16pt mark for the first time?

- Indiana getting a "B" for drafting Stanko Barac

- Memphis getting a "B-" after having so many negatives to say about Conley.

- Miami getting a "B" for trading away Jason Smith to get Daequan Cook, who is not ready to contribute largely like they state

- Giving N.O. a "B+" after saying "J. Wright won't give them the scoring that Young would have and they still have a glaring hole to fill at the 2-guard position, but Wright can give the team a great role player that does everything besides score." A role player for that spot, are you kidding me??

- A "B+" for getting Randolph to pair with Eddy Curry is not a good idea

- The suns getting a "B" for trading a 1st rounder, then drafting Tucker and Strawberry. You don't complain about them not getting the right piece after being so close to a championship then give them an above average grade. Stupid.

- The Spurs getting an "A-". You don't call the players they grab overrated and say they will struggle in the NBA, then give them an "A-".

- Toronto getting an "A-". The draft is supposed to make teams better, right? How does Giorgos Printezis make them better, now or in the future? Very possible, but sending a guy overseas for a few years doesn't warrant a grade near Portland's draft.

- Them pissing and moaning over Jason Richardson. I have an idea, how about you stop listening to Stephen A. Smith and then steal all his ideas. Go eat some cheese doodles you clowns.

Well put! The national media has no clue about the Bobcats...none! There is more to a team than what you read in media guides, but this is their only connection to the Bobcats: words and numbers on a page. There should be a moratorium on speaking about the Bobcats in the national media, because their ignorance is subverting their already questionable credibility. I agree, eaton and Must', these insults will do nothing but motivate the players!

The "national media" always want to comment on the Bobcats, but I sure that they never watch the Bobcats play, the only game they watched was the one against Orlando on TNT. I watched every game that was televised this year except 3. And based on my observations, the Bobcats make a great move. They are preparing for the future. In 3 years, our key veteran (Jrich) will only be 30, while everyone else will be in the mid 20's. To digress a little, I'm so sick of "upside", no one has upside, either you can play or not simple as that. Branden Wright could be the next Kwame Brown, He played 1 year of college ball, how do we know if he will get any better. He could be "maxed out"
