Default The backup PG situation an possible trade idea

Ok so right now felton is our only good pg, if you wanna consider him good...an everybody has been talking about who we should get...I no this isnt going to happen but here is just a thought...Memphis drafted Conely Jr and already have kyle lowery, who was hurt last year...how would u feel trading to get him

    "Kyle Lowry
A couple of years ago in the playoffs I started calling Alonzo Mourning "feist." He came into games and delivered 100% pure and unadulterated feistiness every single second he was on the court.

    That wins games.

Young Ron Artest did that once too (now he spends a distressingly large percentage of the time loafing around the high post, calling for the ball.) Last year before he broke his wrist ten games into the season, Kyle Lowry was an easy pick to succeed Mourning as the most persistently feisty player in the league. In his first regular season NBA game -- remember, he's a 6-foot-nothing point guard -- he grabbed ten rebounds.

Not long ago, Memphians considered Lowry their clear choice as the point guard of the future. But while he was on the sidelines, his team went out and drafted another point guard of the future in Mike Conley, Jr.

Somehow I doubt that'll make Kyle Lowry any less feisty (and I'd hate to be Mike Conley in practice over the next season). Vegas is step one of Lowry's comeback.

Also, one thing I really like about watching Memphis at summer league: they will be led by new head coach Marc Iavaroni. Most teams will have assistants at the helm."

we could offer them may an othella for lowery.....or GO BIG....offer Morrison, May, Othella and a 2008 1st/2nd rounder for Gasol an Lowery...iono if that would work with the salary cap since we gotta pay wallace around 9-10 mill. An i no we gotta extend okafor an feltons contract next year....but if yall were talkn bout gettin darko for 7 mill, if we send ammo, may, an othella's contract, wouldnt that clear about 7.5 mill?? gasol and lowery would cost like 13 mill...so thats 5.5 mill...so wouldnt that be cheaper then signing darko im not too good with the whole salary cap thang so this could be way off...but look at this line up

    C- Gasol/Primo
    Pf- Mek/Dudley
    SF- Wallace/Hermann
    SG- JRich/ Carroll
    PG- Felton/lowery

I no im gettin carried away an this isnt NBA live but damnn that would be a sick lineup

    That's unfortunately impossible.

Word out of NY is Dan Dickau is available for trade, he would be a solid pickup for backup PG. But I guess I'm still baffled by them releasing BK. I still think there is more to that.

But it does lead you to believe that they may be looking for a cheap solution to that position. THey may can get a guy like Smush Parker for vet min

Brevin Knigh leaving kind of hurt, he was a solid player, and I don't see him coming back, he was willing to take less money, so I wish they would have worked something out. Wallace still needs to be resigned, but he won't get a max offer IMO, he'll get 9 mil a year, is what I'm expecting, and that'll leave them a bit of money left, I say then go into free agency...The Senior PG from Virginia Tech Zabian Dowdell would be a solid back-up, and I don't see staying on the Sonics team after his run with their summer league is over. He'd be cheap and could be a nice pick-up IMO, young and talented and I believe he has a lot left for him in basketball. I could see Carroll backing up J-Rich, but also coming in a bit at the PG position as well, but I agree that a true back-up is needed...

    Carroll as a backup point??

Hmmm... I'm not sold on that idea. The guy doesn't have that much handle, and I'm not sure he's especially good at finding players either.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

No way Carroll, or in that matter DA, or any other players will back Raymond up that we already have. My guess will be either from a trade or a summer league invite that makes the roster.

Looks like Ray is going to revisit a situation like the 05 Heels, except for 48 minutes and 82 games, not good.

Where is Quentin Thomas, caqn he come out early to help out Ray. Not like he's going to be playing in front of Ty Lawson, probably has a better chance playing for the Cats.

I have a bad feeling that Kevin Burleson is going to be back on the roster by the time the season starts...
