I can't speak for everyone, but I think we're so harsh on Sean because we really want to see him succeed.
yeah, this is exactly why i'm putting up jokes on him. i remember him being talked by our basketball instructor in college that he's a man to be watched out for, and ever sinced i looked him up he seemed to me that he's really gonna good in the pro's. i'm not giving up on him, just wishing that he would be man enough to really dedicate himself on losing his weight and prove to everyone that he's no krispy kreme guy. everybody's given a second chance, but that chance is not ours to take. it's his

I don't wish anything negative on Sean and I hope that his rehab goes well also, but I joke about Sean because I'm so disappointed in him. His pure skill level is every bit as high as Emeka's if not higher, he has hands like Chris Webber in his prime and his jumper is solid out to three point range... He has all-star caliber talent, and the only thing that he needed to do to be a great NBA player is to keep his weigh down.
As a Bobcats fan, it hurts like hell to see talent like that wasted. So in my case I make fun of the situation instead of driving my self crazy banging my head against the wall about it.

And I wouldn't be surprised if some of the players read through message boards every now and then. All of those guys have massive egos, so they want to know what people are saying about them. If any of them ever have a problem with what we say about them, they are welcome to hit the contact

He did a radio interview the other day and said flat out that his roommate tells him what the fans are saying on the boards. If he wants to change that why not use it as motivation to actually get on the court? He's STILL at 270 and going off the OP pic he's STILL out partying.

He can stop it and turn it around...he just needs to want to bad enough. If he comes out and plays 70+ games and puts up the numbers he does when healthy there won't be enough room on his jock for all of us to climb onto.

meh you know if they signed up, we wouldn't believe it was them....But yea Sean May has been dissappointing, and I hope he can recover and turn things around, otherwise I don't know what else to do with him, except maybe trade him like we were planning on this year around draft time...

"Also, if players were to read this board, I think it'd do Sean good to see how he is viewed by Bobcats fans who expect more out of their players than simply being a jovial soul. I can't speak for everyone, but I think we're so harsh on Sean because we really want to see him succeed."

I couldn't agree more with you guys on this. I have been an avid supporter of the Sean May Success foundation since the guy sold his soul to the Devil to play for Carolina instead of Indiana. An old roommate of mine used to always question why I always yelled at him the most when he was in college, and my answer was that Sean May seemed to me like one of the class acts of the field. He has so much potential. In college he showed everyone, undeniably just how good he can be. He also took it like a man when Carolina played Indiana, and that showed me alot about who he seems to be like as a person and not just an athlete.

Fast forward to now, where all I hear and read about is him partying at bars, and how the team isn't sure when he will be ready. So you are damn right he needs to see this. As fans we have the right to voice our opinions on our team's players. Especially if it is a good guy like Sean.

Finally, I'm not saying that the guy shouldn't be allowed to party. He's a man, he is adult enough to make his own decisions. I just wish we'd get some good news about him for once.

Sorry for the rant guys, but I've been a fan of this guy for awhile. I really wanted him to do good here. To add to someone else's previous post, he really does do good things for the kids. I saw him at a Heat game last year in Miami, and he was all over the place signing autographs for kids. I know that most of the athletes do that anways, but he just he went above and beyond. It was legit happiness. Ok enough with the Joel Olsteen pep talk.

There is no way in the world McMay reads a message board site like this.

Not when there are quarter pounders to eat, scotch to drink and strippers to hang out with.

His schedule to too full to worry about BCP!!

    Nice

I guess we have a ways to go before we can move up Sean's food chain above the Uptown Cabaret.

Sorry for the hashness. I'm more than just a little out of sorts. I don't however like to pick on OUR team players. Enough on the opponents team, to insult.
