    Default Varejao

He is still on the market as a restricted... he would probably fit as a big man who can run the floor as a starter beside Oak... any thoughts?

I think we far enough under the cap to sign him. But as far as i know we have not showed any intrest in him at all. I dont know why we don't offer a number on him just to force Clevlands hand. See they got cap truble and cant sign him and keep Gooden. He might be a good value after being on the market this long.
I wouldn't mind seeing a sign and trade with him and Morrison. I think we could get the saleries to work.

I wouldn't mind him, I've just never really cared for him, offensively he's ok, but defensively, I don't think he's what we need, I wouldn't be upset with him, I just don't think he's needed...

i don't like him very much. he reminds me of joakim noah too much. his swagger/cockiness and lack of offensive skill are red flags for me. but he does have cool/marketable hair

Oh no, could we please not bring Andy here? I have enough issues with him in Cleveland. I want DREW to come here, not Andy! He's such an annoying little kid. And he's gonna start getting busted for being a flopper. And Coach Mike Brown is completely in love with him, so he's not gonna let him go to another team. Trust me, the image people have of Andy is off. He's nothing special defensively, and he's nothing, PERIOD, on offense. As a Cavs fan, trust me, I've looked into it deeply.

Varejao has become overrated due to his comical appearance. For a hustle player as he is supposed to be, he's solid as a rebounder, at around 11 boards per 40 minutes, but very weak offensively, averaging about the same number of points (and that's with LeBron setting him up for easy opps). Additionally, he is not a shot-blocking presence, something the Bobcats could use considering only Emeka and Gerald do much on that front from the current roster.

He's a big man, and that's what we are in dire need for. In all honesty, I wouldn't have minded Noah's game if it didn't cost us the 8th pick. Varajao, if he could be had for roughly 4 million a year, I'd do that in a heartbeat.

We need rebounding, a guy that can run the floor, and backup Okafor/play PF a good amount. I don't think he's the best option, but with the dire need of a big and the lack of quality players left, he'd be the best option.

P.S. I don't care if we have a flopper since other teams use them against us. Maybe we'd stop having the D-Wade calls go against us all the time.

I say we trade Morrison for Gooden . That way they can stay under the luxery tax and we get a decent starting big and they can resign Varejao. We might be able to get a 2nd rounder in it to.
    1. They get a possable star and a favorable contract in Morrison. They all so get enough under the lux tax to sign Varejao.
    2. We get a starting p/f and take on a nice size mulyi year contract and a second round draft pick.

Gooden would fill a big hole for us at p/f and we would become one of the top teams in the east right off the bat. Just add a vet point.

I'll be first to say please, please no. We don't need a 2nd tier inconsistant player. I've always wanted to root for him, and the talent he shows at times is exciting, but then he pulls a moron move or has a god awful game. It's like Sean May with the potential then the letdown. It also says something that he gets less than 30 minutes on a moderately talented team.
