OK, I've got the answer:
Mims is hot, but not because hes fly. The reason that he is hot is because he is suffering hot flashes as a result of male menopause, and that most definitely is not fly.
So when Mims is saying that "This is why I'm hot and its not because I'm Fly" its really his cryptic plea for someone to end his menopausal suffering.

When relocating to a new area, its always best to use "Prison Rules".
In your case find the biggest, baddest looking guy that you can thats wearing a Pistons or a Lions jersey, walk right up to him, knock him out with one punch then tell him that you own his bitch ass.
Your days in Michigan will be much more enjoyable as a result... This is a foolproof strategy.
