That is suprising. I wonder what his reason was for resigning. Oh, and his son that plays for Davidson is a beast. I don't know if any one you watched him during the NCAA tourny, but he can ball.
Disappointing for us fans, but if done so he could spend more time with family good for him. It is too bad that one of the popular links with pro basketball in Charlotte is lessened though.
that blows... always was one of my favorite hornets and charlotte personalities.
Good for him , glad to see him quit. Hes got only one chance to see his boy turn in to a man on the basketball court. And thats somthing he will never forget . Iwill never forget my sons college days of playing baseball. Some of the best days of my life . The same is for Dell he will never regret quiting to watch his son play ball. It may even be better than playing your self. Yes the organisation will miss him and so will i because of his abilitys. I don't know about you guys but him quiting make me respect him even more.
Thanks Ammofan!
We have hired Mike Sanders as the new assistant coach and Dell Curry and Muggsy Bogues both take on roles as team ambassadors as well as some other roles on TV. I don't know much about this Mike Sanders guy, but oh well, its just an assistant coach. This year is a completely brand new feeling
Yeah I saw that on ESPN earlier today. Im also glad for Dell because you only have your kids for a short while before they move out on their own and do their own things. I am glad that he and Muggsy will still be envolved with the team.

......Go Bobcats!!!!! !!!..
From What I've researched:
Mike Sanders was an assistant coach for the Bucks between 2005 and 2007. He was a former b-ball that played SF, and retired in 92. He did not play with Jordan, as he played for UCLA in college and San Antonio, Phoenix, Cleveland and Indiana.
Stats for Career:

He was probably hired because Vincent knew him in the NBDL when he was both were coaches. In the NBDL he coached his team to two straight championships.
Sanders entered the coaching ranks in 1998 as an assistant coach with the Wisconsin Blast of the International Basketball Association. He has also served as head coach with the Black Hills Gold (1999-2000) and Washington Congressionals (2000) of the IBA, as well as head coach of the Adirondack Wildcats (2002-04) of the United States Basketball League. Sanders spent the 2000-2001 season as an assistant coach with the Detroit Pistons.
Who the fuck is Dominic Mcguire
Surprising to lose Dell Curry, but this new guy sounds good, we'll see what he can do...
Really sad to see him leave. Was hoping he could help get outside shooting going.
Dav7z, where did your kid play? My oldest daughter played HS softball and it was the worst 2 years of my life! they won once in 2 seasons! and every game was stopped by the slaughter rule, even the one they one. She was the pitcher, and wasn't that bad. Just that when the other team would hit it nobody else could catch it. I mean this literally. The didn't get an out that wasn't on strikes. She also striked out a batter to see her get a tripple when the catcher dropped the ball! Need a drink just thinking about it!
Hope Dell enjoy's his time with his family and that that's the reason he left.
