Default Well, I think the "Make Carr Starter Over Delhomme" bandwagon is now at an end..

Today I would have felt more comfortable with Weinke playing then Carr <_<. Well, anyway, after today's disappointment of a game. Do you think the Panthers are going to try anything different come next Sunday?

i think the panthers will have a winning streak no longer than 1 and a losing streak no longer than 1. the panthers are the most inconsistent team in the league. they play down to bad competition and tease you when they play well against good teams. they are so frustrating

I think next sunday will be much the same. If Jake is healthy he'll start, if not Carr will. I just think Carr had a bad day, well a REALLY bad day. He has alot of talent and energy, but he's not as familar with the system as Jake is. I never was part of the bandwagon to play Carr over Jake.

The announcer's were saying that Jake may have to have surgery on his elbow, they don't know when that will have to happen, but I'd be comfortable with Carr in the line up.
I'm still pissed that we stopped running the football again. Foster was averaging over 4 yards a carry. You keep running it when you are averaging that much, unless they move guys up to stop the run. They never had to do that, we just stopped running and started passing, and never in the middle of the field which was open all day.

Yeah I figured that Carr would do better than he did today, that was really bothersome. Over at the Observer site everybody is calling for Fox to be fired. I think something has to be done but what? I have no real practical idea....

Since Carr was having an awful day, I was hoping I'd get to see Matt Moore play for a few minutes or so. V_V

NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT HIM, IT'D BE FUN TO WATCH HIM THROW A PASS OR 2! :P

    Here's my two cents:

First off, I don't have a practical idea of what to do either. If I was Jerry Richardson, I'd go into the locker room with a piece of paper and write down anybodies name who didn't want to be there, and have a damn fire sale. Just start over.

Second, I'd go up to Kris Jenkins, with a big ole "C" wristband and say "You are the captain of this team. Thanks for actually showing some heart and honesty".

Third, I'd go up to John Fox and say "You are now the defensive coordinator and head coach. You will call all the defensive plays and come up with the defensive schemes, as well as the head coach duties. If you don't turn this team around by the end of the year, you are fired."

Fortunately for the Carolinas, i'm not Jerry Richardson. So that will never happen. The only thing I can do is drop Peppers from my fantasy team and ceremoniously put Jenkins in his place for a week, video tape it, and send it in to the Panthers.

Yeah, it's really almost as if Peppers doesn't even exist out there. The defense has some serious issues to address.

Also, I think a lot of the reason why we might have started throwing instead of running was because of penalties pushing us back all the time.

Yesterday was the first Panthers game I ever went. I was excited to the Panthers tear up the Bucs. Coming in to the game I knew there was a 50/50 chance we were gonna lose, but damn I never thought we would get raped like that. Though Carr wasn't very impressive, neither were the recievers. They were dropping passes like they have since the start of the season. We should have kept running the ball.
The defense as awful. The only good thing they did all day was the fumble caused by Gamble and the goal line stand we had. Besides that they were horrible. The middle of the field was always open for the Bucs. They would complete passes over the middle and there wouldn't be a defender within 7-8 yards of the reciever. They were also letting the Bucs 2nd and 3rd string running back get yardage.

On a side note. That first down Carr got by jumping and flipping over 2 Buc defenders was nice.

Carr didn't look good but he didn't get any help at all from his receivers, there were a ton of drops.
