    What about this article do you disagree with? I'm no champion of Bonnell's, but he's right about this - we'd be better off with Chris Paul or Deron Williams, even if it meant having neither Felton nor May on our roster. Much better off, in fact.

    This is a boring time of the preseason - very few preseason games, rosters are already trimmed to 15, a week before the season starts - and I'm happy to see Bonnell generating content despite the lull.

    What i don't like is Bonnell acting like he knew we should have traded up to get Paul or Williams. Him or no one could have predicted how each one of those three would have turned out. If May would have stayed healthy those picks would have been great. He all so says Frlton can't find the open man whitch is still open for debate.
    He TALKING ABOUT OUR LOCAL TEAM . He could have somthing postive to say once in a while about our players . Damn its his home team too.

    I agree with Dav. The 'net is FULL of criticism for Felton (a lot in Bonnell's blogs) so why beat the proverbial dead horse a week before the season starts? If May could have stayed healthy (remember he is one of our most productive players when healthy) this wouldn't even be a debate. Bernie didn't see the potential injury issue; he came out after the draft and said he was avoiding Granger because of the knees.

    At the time the majority of fans were for hanging onto both picks. Any idiot sitting in their armchair on Monday morning can easily say we should have done it now.

    Bonnell=any idiot.

    Felton had his best time as a pro after the slight of not being invited to the rookie game during the all star break. Hopefully he takes that article where the ESPN guy said he has doubts that he's even a starter in the NBA and takes it to heart...posts it in his locker and rereads it before every game.

    Give Bonnell credit - he did at least say "The best call, in 20-20 hindsight". Really, if he wanted to play the what-if game, he could have mentioned that the Bobcats had very poor luck with the lottery that year, falling to 5th when, by record, they were tied for 2nd worst.

    I was thinking the same thing about Bonell, Brett. I had to read the article twice to make sure I read him write "The best call, in 20-20 hindsight".

    I'm not a fan of those Monday Morning Quarterback articles either, but I will give him credit for at least acknowledging the piece for what it was.

    Injuries are a part of any sport. Team's have to prepare accordingly. It's part of the game.

    Everything he writes about the Bobcats is negative so this doesn't surprise me in any way although he is right about some things no matter how negative they are.

    I wasn't all that offended by the comments. As bobcatsden says, it's basically just a fluff piece that offers up some speculations and what-ifs. You know I respect all you guys out there, but I think some of you are protesting too much on this one. I love Raymond as much as any fan does, I've followed his career as a senior at Latta High, through UNC, to the pros; I was estatic when we drafted him as I genuinely thought he was the best PG of the 3. Two seasons later, I realize he isn't....not yet at least. I still have faith in him, but I'm getting shakier and shakier as he continues to show no real development, as opposed to Williams and Paul. Is he another victim of the Tarheel PG curse in the NBA? I think he's too good not to turn it around, but he needs to find an identity this year, show he "gets" it, or the reality is we will be looking for a new PG of the future.

    Let's hope, and I think it is, that tonights game is a sign of things to come for Raymond, because I can assure you, I'm pulling for him to succeed like nobody's business!
    "The Charlotte Hornets name has been a mainstay throughout the region for many years, and we are excited to announce our intention to re-establish this historic brand. We believe that its return will galvanize our fan base by unifying our loyal Bobcats fans with those who have strong memories of our city's NBA predecessor." MJ, 5-21-13

    Raymond will get better, its his first season at the 1 spot and getting his experience will be key. Tonight was by far his best night of the pre season. Keep it up Raymond!!!!
