Default Future for May and Morrison

Good little snippet on the ESPN Insider Rumors today. Cannot link to their Insider stuff. Anyway, it mentioned that the Cats are communicating often and closely with both May and Morrison to let them know that they are definitely in our future plans. I know we have spoken a bit about that on our Threads, whether or not we ought to commit to them in the future or save our money and use it for free agency. By the way the article reads, it makes it sound as tho the Cats are definitely going to keep both, as long as they both recover well from surgery.

Cannot really say for sure how much I buy the story. It could just be "mushy/feely" stuff to sound good, because we all know that in business, the almighty dollar rules the day. If it makes more financial sense to cut ties and use the money elsewhere, that is how the Cats will go. Nice guys don't always finish last, but they don't always win either.

neither guy will get cut. not even an option. maybe more of an option with May but still doubtful. Weve already invested so much time and money into those two that cutting them makes absolutely no sense at all. Plus Ammo has time left on his contract, so its just not an option really.

May and Morrison both have so so much potential at such an early age that at the very least they would be tradable assets and wouldnt be cut.

Mustachio: I totally agree. Alot of the chat had been about bringing them back for their trade value at the very least, but the preference being an integral part of the scoring off the bench. However, a whole lot is depending on how well the healing from their surgerys comes along. If either one or both do not bounce back next year, then I think it may be time to cut ties. You cannot just keep someone on payroll and take up position space just because it is morally the right thing to do.

I agree that May would more likely get cut before Adam did, but I don't see either one of them going anywhere. I really hope May is healthy next season because he has the talent to put up great numbers and be our starting PF. Even though with Coach V not wanting to have Oak at 5 full time, we'd have a great line-up then. And I see Morrison being a great 6 man and he'll start a few games when G-Force and JRich miss a game. Both of them can average 12pts+ a game.

I dont see them cutting no one, they are going to let them heal up and hopefully be able to play next season. Trade at least May and a draft pick for a big if he has any value left. Im not positive about weather they extended his contract or not, if they didnt they may just waive him, he gets hurt alot and isnt helping our team out much at all. Right now guys I see us as a good big from the #1 seed....

They're both guaranteed thru next season...why in the world would we cut them?

If anybody gets cut it's Harrington, and that only if they come across someone who's worth eating 2.4 million bucks for. Even then I think they'd work a trade first.

Definately cut Harrington after the season, if Im not mistaken its his last year of his contract anyways.... About May I meant if he is healthy enough to trade, Id trade him for sure and go for a less likely to be hurt player that fits....After all after this season he will have played 58 games thats less than 20 a season ave.....do you want to keep him and wait for his next injury?....
