    Default Basketball Cards

Anyone else here ever collect basketball cards? I used to be a fiend when I was little, but haven't really collected in probably 14 years. I have bought a few packs over the years, but more for the feeling of opening a pack than really trying to get anything.

    Anyhow...

Went to the basketball card store today. My feelings about sports cards have changed tremendously over the last few years, suffice to say, for the worst.

    So, two questions:

    1. If you do keep up with cards, what are your favorite Bobcat cards out? I'm especially interested in Felton cards.

    2. Is there any interest in us (possibly illegally) making our own BobcatPlanet cards for forum users? We definitely wouldn't want to try and sell them or mass produce them. Just produce enough for interested folks here. I'd love to have some cards of my favorite players, but I don't want to support the insane sports card industry.

    Thoughts?
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

    Hi....

I have a fairly large collection of cards! All sports! I collect ADAM MORRISON and my collection is currently at a value of around 500 dollars.

I too ate basketball cards up as a youth and have within the last year gotten back into it. My main focus is to collect all regular Upper Deck sets and only get Bobcats cards and cards of my favorite players from the past from all the other imprints.

My favorite players as a kid are/were (besides MJ and Dominique) Steve Smith, Walt Williams, and Stacey Augmon, so I've been getting lots and auto cards whenever I find them.

    1. My favorite Bobcats cards are my GW autos, one of which is 1 of 3, my Mek Hoops Red RC limited to 50, and my Mek and Raymond dual-signed SP card.

    2. That would be cool, but it really doesn't cost all that much to just get basic singles of Bobcats. Only if you want to get an Exquisite, or a limited card would you need to shell out any serious cash. On ebay I got a 20 card GW lot with an auto card and a jersey piece for $8 or so. I've gotten some Raymond and Mek lots also, so I'm sure I have plenty of duplicates. If you want some just let me know.

Online is the best place to pay non-retail or book value prices. That said, if you can find a card shop, that's a good place to get regular "base" cards for a dime or so.
