I've been up the past18 hours because I can't sleep. I've been so worked up over Black Friday. After I work 3AM to 3PM on Black Friday in a huge Best Buy store in Columbus, I will probably want to blow the place up.


If anyone notices this on the news and I don't get on here anymore, you will know why....

that has got to suck working in a store like that on black friday. i went into a best buy on tax free weekend and it was horrible, i can only imagine what it will be like today. don't blow the place up tho, we need your posting on the planet

I just got home from getting some things, and I don't see how the people who work on Black Friday do it. The whole shit is INSANE!
3:30am-3:30pm, that sucks man. Good luck, and try not to kill anyone.

All I can say is ugh! I got the flu on that day, and I actually had to go in from 2:30AM - 3:30 PM. Having a fever and all that was awful.

We had to lock the building down because some crazy customer destroyed a big screen TV due to running out of the $6.99 "300" dvd's. We also had some black guy come in and start screaming in the middle of the store because he was offended that it was called "black" friday...Please!

Overall, on a normal day our store ranges from $45K - $80K; on that day we did $700K.

I got to handle line duty for about 3 hours and basically direct traffic. To top it off, when I got in I had to go outside and pass out the doorbuster item tickets, and well when there are 500 people lined up @ 3AM wanting the same laptop and there's not enough for all of them, they tend to turn into a riotous mob. Fortunately, police were there.

So all in all, I hate black friday!!

(I didn't blow the place up though!)
