I agree, Herrmann deserves alot more playing time.....![]()
At least Herrmann proved he's still one heck of a player. Keep this up, and start, our starting 5 could be deadly.
Seriously, it seemed like he was one of the factors at keeping this game from being a blow out.

......Go Bobcats!!!!! !!!..
Any chance in hell we lose by less than 30 tomorrow night? Haven't seen the game, but it sucks when reality hits you in the face, and you understand your team is very very average at best. Oh well, if we can continue to be bottomfeeders, we might get to 33 wins again, but I just haven't seen any evidence that we'll be able to pull any upsets like last year (Spurs at S.A. for example).![]()

Primo will get a triple double and hold Garnett to 5 points and 3 rebounds. Ryan will come in, make a late jump and injure all 3 allstar players of the Celtics.
It was an ugly loss, but lets not get carried away with the doom and gloom. We are much better than the 33 win team than we were last year.
Last year: we didn't get our 6th win until December 14th, we were (6-14)
This year: we are (6-6) and in the mix.
Last year: Bernie Bickerstaff ( proud owner of several 40 point losses last year, with a few even being back to back )
This year: Sam Vincent.
We obviously have issues on the team that need to be worked out (mainly big man depth). But I still firmly believe that we will be a playoff team.
There's just HUGE frustrations with this team atm tho...
Brezac playing at all
McInnis playing too much
defense - I just don't understand how we can be so bad; its humiliating
It was nice to see Dudley and Davidson in the game. Just when I was starting to get down on Dudley, he goes out and shows the starters what toughness is. I wish we could see those two much, much more.
We are WAY too quick to give up the paint on defensive switches, leaving the rim uncontested by anyone over 6'5" tall. I was just amazed at the poor defensive IQ out there. Does our coach have a clue?![]()
Oh well... as the buddha says *uummmmm* there I feel better now; go Cats! Win Anyway!
Bobcats Redemption?
I love Walter's game, but clearly the Coach does not. His Contract is up after the year and he will not resign with us limiting his PT. The best we can do with Walter is let him shine like this a few games, and find a way to package him to Phoenix to get Atlanta's draft pick. It's gonna be a lottery. With our pick and Atlanta's, and the quality coming in this draft, we can get 2 Major Players for our future.
Alright, enough. I can't deal with this all season. After we win, it's all "Woo-hoo! Bobcats rule!" But after a loss, most of all I see is "That's horrible we're never gonna be good." Now, maybe different people post after as loss than do after a win. I have considered that. However, y'all are stressing me out! We're the same team every night, just sometimes we don't play like it. Now, there's no reason to be happy about a loss, but let's not get carried away. This is a good team. Maybe it's not a championship contender, but I'm willing to bet that it's not going to take a championship this season to satisfy most of us here. Let's take the good with the bad, but there's no reason to start writing elegies.
Muttley:
I am not so sure we are a "good team". We have a few good pieces- Ray, Gerald, Okafor (if he stays)Carroll and I beleive Dudley will prove to be good. We do not know if May or Morrison will bounce back from injuries. Herrmann can play, but his style obviously does not gel with Sam's. His Contract is up and he will not resign with us for so little PT as he is getting. Just about everyone else is worthless.
We try, we fight hard. But there is an obvious talent difference between us and Orlando, and I fear that Atlanta is passing us by. They have a lot of youth, and are headed in the right direction.
The great teams always find the right player, no matter where they are drafting. Hell, look how Spurs got Manu and Parker. Our front office is devoid of people who understand College talent and how it will translate into the Pro game. We took Morrison over a handful of players far more talented. Should have paid more attention to May's weight issues in College. Should not have traded the 8th pick for J-Rich. I loath Stephen A Smith, but he may have been right. J-Rich is good, but limited; especially compared with what was available at the 8th pick. I loved the deal at first, but have cooled on it tremendously after this start. J-Rich is streaky from the Jump shot, cannot creat his own shot, is a bad FT shooter, and plays only adequate Defense.
I love the Charlotte Bobcats. But our management has made serious flawed decisions, and our luck has been piss poor at best. I think we do have to make a positive step forward to try and make something happen. I would package Herrmann with something we can handle and find a way to get the Phoenix pick it holds from Atlanta. Look at this upcoming draft pool and tell me how in the world we can get 2 lottery picks and not come out with 2 very good to maybe great players? Well, that is, if our front office can see the players as the rest of the world sees their potential.

I knew going in last night that everything would have to click in order to beat Orlando (no fluke they've only lost what...2 games?), and when Crash didn't return after the 1st quarter I expected it to get really ugly...yet we almost closed it to single digits and forced Van Gundy to put Nelson and Howard back in.  If you also look at the game by quarters that 1st one is what did us in; we hung with them for the next 3.
That ain't bad.
No doubt the gloom will continue after tonight and maybe even thru Tuesday, as the Heat have started playing much better with Flash back.  These are established teams with MANY more years of acquiring talent.  We're bound to have more inconsistencies than they are, and that's going to cost us games.
Like Muttley said though...we're still a good team.  You can't expect constant instant gratification. The main thing we can hope for...especially if Crash is out for a while...is progression. We'll get there, it's just going to take time.
