0.3% damn no one respects the bobcats
Was reading John Hollinger's analysis of the odds for making the Playoffs. The Eas:
Boston, Orl and Det all at 100%; Tor 99.7%, Wash 98.6%, Ind 93.4%, Clev 63.3%, Atl 59.9%
Mil 21.1%, Phil 21%, Miami 14.8%, Nets 14.2%, Chi 12.1%, Knicks 1.7% and Char 0.3% - Dead Last
In the West, there are 4 listed as below us: Port at 0.1% and Clips, Seattle and Minn at 0.0%.
Bad thing is, Portland and Clippers will have better records, it is just that they play and the West and the Teams are better from top to bottom. He has us ranked #28 out of 30 in his pole, so that all comes together nicely. Kinda gives me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.
I got so pissed off with Hollinger earlier when he was dissing the Bobcats when we were 6-4. Now, it looks like he and Stephen A. Smith know what they are talking about. I still cant stand Stephen A. Smith, but damn if he wasn't pretty damn close to right. I feel humiliated!
Somebody give me some hope for this team. I think it has to come from the Draft, because I dont see the mgmnt spending $ on a FA and buying out one of our Contracts. And I fear them trading with someone for a body rather than a draft pick as I do not have confidence in their analysis of players they would trade for right now. it will likely be someone with connections to someone in mgmnt as opposed to someone who can actually help us. I have more confidence in the College kids I am watching.

I haven't given up hope, but this losing streak is bothering the hell out of me.
No one's (in the larger scheme of things) has ever respected the Bobcats. Hell, half of Charlotte doesn't respect them. In past years, that meant a lot to the players and they played with the ferocity of Underdogs. The players this year seem to think that that has changed. They must realize that there's not love for the Bobcats, and then regain that drive. I don't think we're far off from that again, though, we've obviously and seriously underestimated the contribution of one Mr. Jake Voskuhl, but we've got to change something. I think that a simple change within the personnel that we have will change that. Matt Carroll might be the one Bobcat that I still see that drive in. Mix up the line-up and start him over JRich. Matt's a badass and is earning the start in the few minutes he plays and maybe it'll light a fire under JRich when he does come in while still getting ample pt.
I'm just grateful that they are locked into a Contract with us and cannot leave Charlotte like Shinn did. I think that all we need to do is spend the money to put a winner on the floor, and the crowds will be back. I thnk MJ would do it, but I do not know about Bob Johnson.
0.3% looks about right at the moment.
There was a good crowd at the Bulls game last night.
Until the players learn to stop whining and direct their frustration into aggression, they will not make any meaningful progress.
Bobcats Redemption?
Absolutely, Mutt!!!! I'm all for that. Vincent would earn some massive respect points if he would do this, but I'm guessing he fears MJ's wrath at benching his prized offseason acquisitionOriginally Posted by Muttley
I'm with Keetch on those playoff odds. Though I can't believe Atlanta's and Indiana's. Probably one of those teams will make it, depending on what Miami does, but such high percentages? Give me a break.
