the only reason not to rejoice is that my favorite player (walter) has been traded
tear it up in detroit walt, tear it up
hopefully flip will give you a shot to play like you deserve man.
but nazr will be a welcome addition to the lineup
We can't win... we wanted to get rid of Brezec and yet we take on another player who seems to be worthless only now its for 3 years and 26 million? UGH....![]()

Bobcats should sign me
Nazr....blah. 3 years 26 million...blah. I wish we could have pulled a 2nd rounder out of them.
I loved Walter but with all the wings, he was never going to get PT. We at least get a Center that has some meat and height to him.
Personally, I'm most excited about that open roster spot. I think we'll go with another big man as that's been our most glaring weakness. I'm glad we didn't send Davidson down to the D-league, as he'll probably get more time up here. I think he's done very well for a 2nd round rookie, and will help out.
My guesses will probably be Earl Boynkins or P.J. Brown.

but boy am i just glad to see primo go. whew for one minute.
TADSZ
3.3 pts and 3.5 brds in 10 min of play. If he plays 30 for us, he should be a double double for us. We need that right now. He will be better than Hollins at Center.
It does add about 1 mil to our payroll, and clears a space to add someone else. So if we add a 15th, then mgmnt is at least spending $. We can argue if they are spending it wisely or not, but they are spending $.
Yeah, like many of you guys, I hate to see the Hair Man go. Really, I hate to see Primoz go too, but that's more for nostalgia than anything else. However, I am glad to see Nazr come in, and I hope he can become productive in our "system" quickly. Wish we could have picked up Murray with it, but I will say that the gem in this trade isn't in the names going back and forth, but the blank that is now left on our roster as a result of the trade. There's someone out there that will help us, and I hope the management takes care to find that right piece. Really, I wouldn't be pissed if they left it open a week or two just to see what we really need. Immediately, one would say PG, and I would agree. But McInnis showed flashes of quality back-up tonight. Perhaps getting another big is the answer.
I'm just excited to see Nazr suit up for us. It has seemed lately that the team was mentally stagnant, and I hope our chemistry and morale improves as a result of the shake-up.
By the way, not to turn it negative or anything, but how does this affect our ability to sign Oak next summer?
Well this move will definitely make Emeka better. Look at this way Nazr is MUCH better and tougher than the big guys we currently have and definitely brings more to the line-up than Primoz who is a softie and will probably be out of the league by the end of the season. I see Herrmann struggling to get minutes there as well but I thought he could of become a good player for us.
I was lucky enough to talk to stephen a smith right before the game started, and i talked with him about the trade, he said it was a short term solution, allowing mek to play his true position at pf, but good for the pistons in cap space and the contract hurts us, nothing new, but it was still neat! He was a nice guy... unlike MJ who wouldnt even acknowledge us after the game.
you mean Stephen "cheese doodle" smith?Originally Posted by MattD
