    Default Jordans Message

There is a thread about Jordan being at practice already... but i wanted to take it in another direction. Thats right im taking it to Negative Town.

Does anyone else feel that this entire hoopla about Jordan coming to practice was a direct finger in the chest of Gerald Wallace? Ive been saying it since the beginning of the season. Gerald Wallace isnt playing like he used to. Ive had the feeling this year that the contract and the attention has gone to his head.
Not that having confidence is bad, I just personally dont think Wallace is superstar material. YET And i think taking on the responsibility is hurting his game. The numbers are there still, but they are down. It just doesnt seem like the same Bobcats team, and i personally think it starts with Crash.

So i think that Jordan, instead of calling him out soley in front of everyone made this move to make sure Crash knows his role on this team. Now the general point gets across to everyone on the team... but more importantly Gerald gets the message without the embarrassment.

Crash doesnt have a jumpshot. hes got one, but it cannot be relied upon ever. Until you can consitently make open shots.. you will never be a superstar in this league. So I think Jordan was saying look man... you got to this level with team play and hard work.
Stop being lazy and settling for jumpers... Stop taking on two defenders on a 3on2 break... Stop never-passing. and start winning ballgames. We've lost a few ball games this year at the end of regulation because Crash thought that it was his time to take over. Well its not.

In Jordans words "You have no All-Stars. None! That means everybody has got to rely on each other to be successful."

No. The whole team has issues and I think it was tearing Jordan up so badly he felt he had to point it out to them individually.

Crash is struggling because other teams have figured out how to stop him. They no longer buy on the fake shot but hang back anticipating the drive, which forces him to shoot jumpers in hopes that they'll respect and try to defend it. Sometimes he drives anyway and gets around his initial man, but then the help D meets him before he gets there and Crash is screwed. Just like with Felts, passing instead of throwing up a contested shot would probably do wonders.

It's frustrating the hell out of him...which is probably also why he's just standing in one spot a lot of times instead of moving (which is frustrating the hell out of us).

thats exactly what i mean though. Other teams have found out how to stop him. Superstars... you dont stop... you only contain.

He is getting big money now... Still glad we got him and not Rashard Lewis though.

He should still drive...more times than not he'll get the foul called (on them...not on him) if he can just turn his defender.

Nobody on this team passes well other than Felton. JRich does, but it's few and far between...once a game maybe. If we can get the wings/bigs to do that then we'd see some success and get away from the individuals thing. Nazr will help some, if he can stay out of foul trouble.

    Absolutely.

I think the message was that everyone has to step up and play hard. MJ is watching and he's already sent some folks packing.
