The incentive for the Hawks is that they get out of Speedy's deal - something we would have to swallow, plus they would have the chance to sign EO50 on the cheap (based on his season).

Not that I would be as keen, but what about replacing Horford with Sheldon Williams? Does that smooth things out for the Hawks?

I really think JJ is out of the picture (he should be untouchable so far as ATL is concerned) and Horford about the same. I know "I" wouldn't trade them.

IMO Gasol should be the prime target if we're trading Okafor (and I think that's the ONLY way we get Gasol)...unless Bosh is an option.

Honestly I'm not that hot on trading Mek...but anyway.

I'm with you Spectre. I wouldn't be looking to trade EO50 at all...........but for the sake of argument I thought I would try to throw something together.

Spectre and Slam : Do you not think that something is amiss with Okafor? His whole attitude is bad. He is not taking shots, and seems to just not be happy at all. Pleople have been talking about that on the Board for a few weeks that he is seemingly at odds with some of the other guys on the team and the whole philosphy of the organization. I know that when we failed to get his new Contract agreed to, both he and the Cats knda brushed it off and said we will get it done after this season. But, I am not so sure. Aside from the money issue, I think he is genuinely not happy right now, and he may very well just walk anyway. Then, we got nothing for him except the lost salary for cap space. Just something to consider.

He's an RFA...there's almost no chance he walks for nothing.

Mek might not be playing to form so far this season (at least this season has been erratic for him), but over the last 3 seasons he's been one of the best defenders in the league. Take a look at the other teams and see just how many "Okafors" there are.

So far as this season who hasn't been somewhat of a disappointment? Other than JRich (who's started coming on) there's been only one big change, and that's the COACH. The two guys who haven't been a disappointment lately...Crash & JRich...are doing it "one on one".

If we could ever play a "team" game I have a suspicion everyone would look better.

ohara I haven't seen the team in over a month so I can't really comment, although EO50's body language wasn't that great in Nov. He seemed frustrated with his team mates on more than one occassion going to time outs etc.

He and Crash have been here from the start. Maybe they, and especially EO50, are sick of not winning? Considering EO50 came from an NCAA championship team to us - a band new frachsie who had to build - maybe he is fed up with the lack of progression?

I think, the more i ponder it, that I would not make anymore trades for the time being. I dont think ray and mek have had the chance to show what kind of players they really are this season. Weve all been looking to pinoint the troubles onto someone. I think we were reluctant at first to realize oak is playing like shit, felton cannot play point... but the coach, the coach is strangling this team. Under a more effective system, I wonder how our guys would perform, I think they all would perform at a higher level (well jrich and wallace are doing everything they can must be depressing) and theyre trade values would go up. No need to hurt this franchise just yet, lose the coach, if mek still plays terrible, then we dont resign him. That simple, btw thanks for not accepting that 13 mill offer mek
