In case it's not obvious, I don't think that was what's going on.

ill just speculate why charlotte may be interested in gasol. the bobcats lack inside scoring, what does gasol provide? bingo

while i wouldn't do the trade cuz of his salary, that is why the cats are probably interested in him. okafor is more of a complimentary inside player, but has been forced to be the bobs first inside threat. they are merely exploring their options for a primary post scorer.

I would make that trade in a flat second. OK is not the scoring threat we need in the middle. But just look at the starting five for the next four years. We could contend with any one.
    1. Felton and next years first round pick
    2. Rich and Carroll
    3. Wallace , Morrison , Dudley
    4. Gasol, May , Davidson
    5. Naz and Hollins
pick up a 4,5 type at vet min. A defencive minded two at Min.
Then take Jamoison as a free agent to minter thease players.
He could play the four and the three.
With that we win the east mabe the championship,

I would rather have Mek's defensive post presence, then an offensive post threat, but I think we already have both, if our coach knew how to utilize the talent he has to work with.

Mek and Naz could be our defensive, and offensive post threats, if utilized properly.

btw, Memphis would make the trade, if Mek is involved. A defensive post player is not easy to find.

I don't want any more trades until Vincent can prove he's capable of coaching an NBA team.

I like the idea of a inside defencive post presence. But the coach has allready said OK50 can't defend the four . Hes really a five . Just the oppsite of what we been hearing the last three years. IF OK is really a five what reason was it to bring in Nazr. Would have it not been cheaper and more easy to get a decent four. Nazr now becomes a wasted trade if OK can't play the four. So please explain to me what coach V is thinking.
Gasol is a proven scoring threat in side and out . He can play the four or hold down the five if he has to . Him and Nazr would be a hell of a lot better option than the small line up we playing now. Im for any thing all most thet would force Mcinnis out the starting line up. It would be instersting to see if he beanched Ray or Mcinnis. I don't think hes so stupid as to beanch Ray.
I all so think Gasol is a much more proven player than OK50. As much as i like OK i would have to pull the triger on that trade.

    Thanks Ammofan!

Time for some rep from me Bizzle...twice today you penned what I think.

Let Mek focus solely on D...let Nazr play WITH Mek and focus mainly on offense. Next year put up a fight to get Jamison...and THERE is your athletic 4 to team with Mek. I think we can get Jamison without giving up Mek...that won't happen with Gasol.

Dav right now I wouldn't believe what comes out of Vincent's mouth if he told me the sky was blue. He's afraid for his job and rationalizing out of his ass to point the finger everywhere but at himself.

ive been saying since year 1 that Mek is a 5. but i do think he can play the 4.

I actually wouldnt mind the Gasol trade either. Gasol isnt like a garbage defender hes just more offensive minded.

However... I also agree with bizzlecat... I would not trade for anything else ... especially if its Vincents idea. until we know what we already have. And with Vincent so far.... we really dont know what we have talent wise.
