It's hard for him to walk to the doughnuts with his injuries.
did you guys see the interview with may... he doesn't look to fat... fat but not horrible
It's hard for him to walk to the doughnuts with his injuries.
I think the problem with May is not that he is getting fatter, it's that he has a history of knee problems and his natural weight doesn't help anything.
People joke (myself included) about him and doughnuts (Dunkin is actually attached to the side of the arena), but I doubt that he sits around just stuffing himself. On the other hand, if it were me (or the overwhelming majority of posters on this forum) I'd be working my butt off to make myself thinner than I am naturally so that my knees give me less problems.
I get angry when I think about it for awhile. He could have been a surprise in the NBA. In the few games I saw him play in person he brought something that this time needs so desperately: GOOD HANDS and REBOUNDING.
Coulda woulda shoulda
I saw a shot of May at the game standing next to McInnis and then he walks off, no visable limp at all. I think most of the reason people think he is fat is because he has that plump face. Standing there in his suit he had on he didnt look fat he is just a big guy....![]()
......Go Bobcats!!!!! !!!..
He's done. Do not look for him to play again. He never kept himself in shape, not even in college. All that talent, but no personal drive to stay in peak physical condition as an athlete. That is a pity.
There a lot of love for him due to UNC, IMO. If he was from Boise St. or something there'd be a website calling for his release after year 1.

I have never heard of any love for Sean May JUST because he is from UNC. At least not while he has been in a Bobcat uniform anyway.
Not true. His junior season, be worked his ass off, and ran his ass off in Chapel Hill all summer long, and was a pillar of strength and work ethic. Basically everything else you said is true, but he was a monster when he left UNC and that is why he was drafted at 13. He just seems to be content to rest on his laurels as the hero of the '05 Heels, and he still gets a whole lotta love because of that around the area. As a Tarheel, I love him, always will; as a Bobcats fan, I feel cheated; that's the long and the short of it.Originally Posted by ohara831

But, if you have personal knowledge of his work ethic in college, I will certainly cede to your knowledge of the facts on this matter. But, he definitely let his body go after the draft, that's for sure.
That's worked for and against him. UNC fans love him, but plenty of people hate him, believing we wasted the pick to sell tickets to UNC locals.Originally Posted by Dunk
I think his play when he's been healthy has justified the pick and the love. It's just so frustrating to see him not healthy. So, then people ask: are his injuries simply unfortunate occurrence or rooted in his weight?
SOMEONE will pay for THIS!
