    Default Foster released

Panthers cut Deshaun Foster today. Leaves the job solely to DeAngelo Williams unless they plan to draft a running back again. Doubt that since Williams was their main pick 2 yrs ago. Saves us almost $5 mil on cap space. Too bad we could not package him with Kris Jenkins in a trade. Looks like Jenkins will be gone too in either a trade or being cut.

I'm glad DeAngelo will be given his chance to be the main rb. He's got the ability. What do you think we'll do with the cap space?

get michael turner. hopefully jenkins can be traded for a 1st day pick, if so i'd be pleased with our offseason to this point. plus a healthy jake, this could be a solid team 10-6 or 9-7 assuming delhomme plays at least 14 games

I'm down for that. The talk at the end of the season was that the team would get "younger." I believe Richardson or Fox or somebody even said that the team would look "very different" next season.

I wonder if we have any plans for Alex Hayes...

I like it. Deangello was a liability with all those fumbles and I think the move finally shows me that Fox and Hurney are getting away from the Loyalty thing cripling them. I don't know who they want. Maybe that crying kid from Texas A&M?

Don't doubt for a minute that DeAngelo will finally breakout hopefully Dwayne Jarrett will do so also...

Also cosign us picking up Turner we need a brusier ala Stephan Davis again in a Carolina uniform.

^I'm thinking he meant DeShawn since he did have a career high in fumbles last season.

Yeah. He meant Foster was the fumbler. He laid out more fumbles than he had TD's. Pretty sad for a starting RB.

I'd be happy with Turner in the backfield sharing time with DeAngelo. Also, since we are going to go Offensive Line with our 1st and likely LB or DE with our 2nd, I would not be shocked if we don't try to grab Mohammad back for a 2 yr Contract to help Steve Smith. I think Jarrett may come around, but we cannot take a complete chance on it. We need another receiver. Interesting they are not interested in Crumpler. They don't want in on a bidding war with someone who had a recent knee injury. Our TE's made some progress last season, so we may not go there. * But we could go after the QB Flacco with our 2nd. That may be a real good idea. i know our Rookie came on OK at the end of the yr, but I really dont know if Jake will come back strong from the surgery. I really like Flacco and think he may be special. The guy has a terrific arm and is smart.
