makes sense = we won't do it
Here is our chance to get a big with some skill set that could help us. Start cutting the fat now, harrington see ya. There is no need for him on the roster wasting a spot when we would could have a serviceable player. D. Anderson has been good for the locker room and role modeling but either him or mcinnis's spot could be used. Magloire and Murray are free as of Monday. This would give us the extra big we need and with some low post moves could back up nazr and let okafor go back to the 4. This could also help us out with our drafting. Two or more roster spots will open up at the end of the year when we let mcinnis, d a, boykins and hollins go. We would get a jump on next year with our players play together now and if we see that they are not what we need we just let them walk also. Murray would give us a backup pg that would push for the starting job and put pressure on Felton to learn how to run the offense. We could keep either one of d a or mcinnis on injured reserve for the rest of the season in case someone gets hurt we could pull them back. Magloire shouldn't want big money like he just had because he should want to play. He was good in Charlotte when he was BIG CAT and Murray has NC ties being that he went to college in the state. If they work out for us give them both about 2 or 3 mill acouple of years and this would allow us to draft best player avaliable or draft by position needs.

no cutting DA.
unfortunately we wont cut McInnis
Cut Othella, maybe Hollins too.
Boykins must stay, he is really very good, and we would be crazy to cut him.
Maybe open up two roster spots. Hell Id be for cutting May. Will he ever play again? If he will make him get back into shape on his own like Jay Williams
We still haven't given Hollins a fair shot IMO. DA is still productive and is pretty much an assistant coach, I don't see why you would cut him.
c'mon, let's be serious. Between DA and McInnis, who does it really make sense to cut
For those that haven't yet figured it out, the answer is most clearly Jeff McInnis.
I used to be a huge fan and really wanted to see him succeed. Im not sure he ever will though. The dude is out of control, and without a really good big coach, Im not sure we ever will get there. His stroke is starting to look nicer though.Originally Posted by WvsMc
In reality I wouldnt cut him, but you never know about management
I guess then we cut them for each other. Magloire for Hollins and McInnis for Murray. I truly believe that with those bigs and the options we would have at pg alongside JRich and a healthy G-Force would improve or play. Or bench would have production and not much drop of from the starters. Okafor could bang and if he scores great. Nazr and Magloire have low post prescence and can score which would help us greatly with some offense. This will free up Jrich and Matt for jumpers and G Force could then have help on the defensive end with more rebounding prescence. Would give us a big jump on next seeing the only way we could add more talent would be thru the draft or sign and trade. These could be the key peices to the puzzle and someone help Vincent set a rotation.
Maglorie is a bum who's had one good season in his life and Murray would have the exact same effect on the roster that Rush did.
Pass on both.
Nick Fazekas is available after being cut by the Mavericks and we could get him on the cheap. I don't know much about him but I am thinking he would fit in with our team and have the needed minutes to develop with NBA players rather than the D-League. We probably would not get a whole lot better as a team being that we have such a nitwit at head coach. Still he may be a future bargaining chip and maybe just maybe a quality contributor who we could keep. Just a thought.Originally Posted by bobcat4life
