He does poorly when bigger guys are physical with him on the floor and you KNOW NBA bigs will be physical with him, moreso than half the jobber schools he dominates
A fter watching him last night against Wake im begining to think he can play the pro game . I am all most convinced he could be a nice late first rounder or a early second rounder. He might be a good choice as a second pick . Hes good on the boards and is a banger for damn sure . Thoughts.
Thanks Ammofan!

There must be someone else. I'm all for taking the best player available, and if he's it, then so be it. However, there must be someone else.
That's just my thoughts as a true ABCer. I've gotten used to Felton and even come to like him as a Bobcat. McInnis as a back-up, and also May are alright by me and I cheer for them both as they recover from knee injury and over-use by a brain-dead coach. However, Ijust don't think I could get used to Tyler Hansborough, too. I understand that the Cats' Management should no more overlook players from UNC than they should draft UNC-ers for the sole reason that they went to UNC (not something I'm claiming they did).
But there's just gotta be someone else.
If we did not get a big with our first pick, then I would not be opposed to him with our second. But, if we made some moves and wound up with another 1st rounder, I don't think I'd spend a 1st on him.
Agreed hes no where near a first rounder . But might be a nice pick up in the 2nd round . He kinda reminds me of a Madson with a little better touch. But not a first round pick. For our needs any way.Originally Posted by ohara831

How about the refs call a foul on him? Jesus Christ! I was watching the Wake game and he got every call his way. It's sickening.

It's called playing smart defense and moving your feet to get good position. Maybe some of the guys that bang on him and get in foul trouble can learn a lesson from watching the guy at work.Originally Posted by Dunk
He's a winner and a warrior: late 1st rounder to a perrennial contender (Spurs would be great fit)

No way does he last til the second round, he is projected to go at 18 on draftexpress, and I think he will go higher than that. I have defended him in the past and I think alot of the hate comes from the school he is from. I am not saying we should reach for him in the top 10 or anything, but if we can pick up a mid-late first round pick then he is exactly what this team needs. His offense would probably drop off in the pros, but we already have crash and jrich for that. He would certainly be a force on the boards, and a banger on the block I think he is exactly what we need. The bobcats need fire and energy, and he certainly has both.
Consider how happy everyone was when we signed Varajao, you can't tell me that Hansbrough will not be a better version of Varajao, without all the flopping. He is also an underrated defender, I say he is the second best defender on UNC behind Ginyard. He has also developed a good outside jumper, and has a ridiculous work ethic. I think people would be all over his jock if he went to Hofstra, Wyoming, or any other place, but because he is at UNC there is a lot of hate. Put school loyalties aside for a minute and think what we are lacking: Size, rebounding, fire and effort. Last time I checked he has all of those. If he turns out to be a bust I will admit if I am wrong, but I think he would be a great pickup in the mid-late first round.
I'm going to include my comparisons in each of the prospects threads. Hansborough is by far the hardest!!
I'll also say which NBA team I think could use them and their skill set the most (usually only teams around where I project they will be drafted). Feel free to disagree or comment!!
Comparison: Artest (strength) meets Nene (offense)
Best fit: Nets, Bulls, Kings
