The irony of this post is that I picked up Dante's Inferno tonight.

I understand his point about failing coaches up to a point but the reality is Bernie guided this team to the best record in a third season of any expansion team in the modern era and the team was just short of the playoffs. Had the team got it together a bit sooner I feel they would have made the playoffs. Are the Cats a bad team this year? Maybe!!!! The Cats are an unhealthy team as they were last year as well. When healthy and everybody playing under a good to great coach their is no telling what this team is capable of.
The end of last year gave us fans something to look forward to. Fabio was a solid contributor under BB but he was cast aside like garbage this year. The bad part of all this it that MJ and staff can use the injury to Crash as a reason to keep Sam Vincent. That might fly if this team was performing well when Crash was healthy but as a team his health had little impact on a team with an arrogant nitwit at head coach.
While we are talking head coach, what about the assistant coaches on this team? None of them has stepped out against the Fine Ham Biscuit and it doesn't seem they are much more competent. If the brass decides to drop SV they better do some serious evaluation of the assistants on the team as well.
I am afraid MJ's reputation may not be enough to get the team a solid coach. Since the Cats are in a relatively small market what kind of players can be got if a good head coach with a solid reputation refuses to coach this team? Let us hope MJ has some pull and can get someone decent when not if SV is fired. MJ should put his ego on the line and coach the team himself. Larry Bird had no previous coaching experience and we see how well he did. The players know of MJ's reputation on the court and they may run through brick walls to impress him.
Well, I know that is just dumb thinking because MJ would never take a chance on being a failure at something like that. He is a failure as a front office exec so far but he seems alright with that. This next year should be his last chance as an executive. Nothing more to say other than we soon shall have a high lottery pick and lets hope MJ don't mess that up this time.

SOMEONE will pay for THIS!
Hopefully you got the entire Divine Comedy, not just Inferno. That would be like only watch Star Wars Episode IV and that's it; or, reading the Fellowship of the Ring and stopping there. Great epic poem, and I'm terribly impressed by your choice of reading, as this is not stadard casual reading fare for the masses!! Way to go, and stick it to that New York Times Bestseller trash!!!Originally Posted by Dnbman

Unfortunately, its just the Inferno. I wanted the best translation I could find with the best notes that was also affordable. So, I bought the Robert Pinsky translation for $10. I want to read the entire Divine Comedy, but I'm not sure when I'll get around to it.Originally Posted by TheBeagle
