Just remember, Antawn Jamison has the EXACT same build. Both are 6'9 and 235. Elton Brand, on the other hand is 6'8 and 254. Is Beasley plays large, he'll be a stud.

Yeah. Being worst definitely gives you no guarantees. I think to have a fairly realistic shot you need to be in the range from 1-4. If I had the motivation, I'd look at what records teams had that would up with the 1st pick, and see the average. Here are the odds though for the 6 worst teams at winding up with the 1st pick:

    1. 25%
    2. 20
    3. 16
    4. 12
    5. 9
    6. 5

Here's a pretty good explanation of it, for anybody interested:

Just had to bring his Thread back up to here. Hey, I love Rose, don't get me wrong, but Beasley is still going to be a magnificient Pro and I would love him as our PF. Cant let his Thread languish back behind some of the lesser guys.

    Nice looking out ohara!!

I agree with your point though. It's amazing how much some people get caught up in the tourney and base everything on that.

K-State gets knocked out round 2, so all of a sudden Beasley, who DOMINATED all season, becomes an after thought and Rose becomes the poster boy of the 2008 draft.

Beasley would be a stud, and if the Bobcats landed the #1 overall pick, he is still the guy that I would draft for us, regardless of Rose's past two weeks.

And Beasley is probably the most ready to contribute a lot to a team. It would be nice, though my whole roster thing Ive been thinking out might be hurt a little bit.

If I had the number 1 I think the decision would come down to the workouts and the personal meetings with the player to see his mental state as well (you know how hard he wants to win etc etc)

No doubt. I like Rose, but if we have a choice, I take Beasley. We need a PF in the worst way, and Ray is a solid PG so that is not a must position for change. Beasley will be a great PF. But if Beasley is gone, I jump on Rose in a second and then see what happens.
