Just saw that. Looks like the house cleaning is about to be begin.

It'll be interesting to see if they are moving players that are problems for the coach or just clearing house in general. If they specifically mentioned Ham Biscuit/Touche friction, it would sound like the former to me.

This also means that Felton is the man. Maybe if he proves himself we go big in the draft.

    From the Observer:
The Charlotte Bobcats waived veteran point guard Jeff McInnis today, n a move that may help him get to a playoff team this season.
I can't believe that theres a playoff team out there thats interested in Jeff. That can't be possible.

If there is a Playoff team who picks him up, I'll be wanting to kick MJ's ass myself. Why the heck didn't we trade him for some team's 2nd rounder? Or at worse, trade him for some team's water boy? Get something for him. Man. I just hope I don't see where someone picks him up. I'd go ballistic!

Unexpected but much needed move by the front office now hopefully Felts will really get to be the man for the rest of the season.

    Please let Vincent be next...

If that does go down, and it's not just a ruse to let McInnis leave with dignity, I would guess they didn't trade him because of salary reasons. The other team would have to trade us someone worth about the same as McInnis. If the right team didn't have the right contract, it would be better for us to just let him walk than trade for another contract, even if it did come with a second round pick.

Basically, I think it was a PR move (as much to other NBA players-- "we treat our guys good"-- as to fans) to get rid of McInnis.

By the way, does this mean we're going to pick up another player? We're going to be incredibly thin with Wallace out for at least another week or two.

I wonder if there's an NBDL player on the way. I don't think it would make sense for the team or the player for us to sign a veteran like Cassell.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

They updated the article with that whole bit about helping him get to a playoff team since my first post. I can't believe that. Who would take him? He doesn't do anything besides take the ball up the court, pass it to the wing and get beat on defense.

I agree that Cassell doesn't make sense. He's trying to hook up with the Celtics.

I would pick up the absolute best prospect out of the NBDL regardless of position, give him minutes and see if we can find a diamond in the rough.

I was actually upset at this news when I just heard it on the radio in my car on my way home. This is ridiculous. What are we trying to do? I don't see us picking anyone up at this point. Perhaps we save a little money by settling on a buyout, I'm not sure. How it appears to me is that this is management's way of making Sam Vincent play Raymond Felton at the 1 consistently. Jeff McInnis should be the 3rd string point guard on whatever team has him, and it is not his fault that he's been asked to start. The culpability is solely Sam's for Jeff's misuse. The move we should have made is 2can Sam.

There must be some large issue that I'm not seeing because I am not a fly on Bob and Mike's wall. On the surface, this seems like a crappy and passive way of making the coach do what you want him to do.
