Default Hypothetical question: Bobcats land #3 pick w/Rose and Beasley off the board

What player are YOU taking if you are the Bobcats in this position?

There are a ton of great players with a lot of upside coming out that experts don't see going 1 or 2 but should be in the lottery. Eric Gordon, Bayless, DeAndre Jordan, Mayo, Hibbert & Lopez all come to my mind. Last nights game made it clear to me that we are in more dying need of a big man right now than a point.

I like Brock Lopez out of Stanford he's probably the most NBA ready legit center coming out this year but if we are going to be in fact playing a run and gun style he might not fit well with us he's another Roy Hibbert type. I say we go with potential and take DeAndre Jordan he possesses the ability to run the floor for a big (something we don't have now), is a banger who will only get better when he starts to devolop ala D12 and has superstar potential that's my pick.

Trade the pick to the Sonics for their two 1st round picks and double dip with a small and a big taken in the order of who is on the board when those two picks roll around aiming for a combination of either DJ, Bayless, Mayo, Collsion, Lawson etc and Hardin, Randolph, Ibaka, Anderson or Lopez, Jordan, Thabeet, Hibbert etc.

    ^That sounds great Slam.

I saw you mentioned Serge Ibaka out of Congo I don't know to much about him but kid sounds like a straight up beast if he turns out like the experts are saying (Prime Shawn Kemp) he'd be a good value pick up if we did move down.

I dont know if Seattle would trade the #4 and #25 just to move up to #3. I do like that scenario if they would.

I like the potential of Jordan, and his ceiling is high. But I think Brook Lopez is more of a sure bet at this moment, but with a lower ceiling. That is a tough call between big men. If we go PG, then likely go with Bayless at #3. But then you really have to ask if you can pass on Gordon, even though he is a SG with a little potential to play the PG position. He is not as good a PG as Ray, but a much much better scorer.

All in all, if we ended up with the #3, and only 1 or 2 slots ahead of Seattle, then I might very well trade with them and snag that 25th pick also. If Seattle has a 2nd rounder, I'd love to get that one also, but that may be asking too much if they are only 1 or 2 picks behind us.

As a mid 1st round, just out of lotto, I like Thompson from Rider.

A lot of people may disagree with me, but if those 2 are off the board, then I take a long hard look at Roy Hibbert. Hes got the size, fantastic passing skills for a big man and the Georgetown pedigree.

I think he's fantastic Zig and he would no doubt lift our teams collective basketball IQ up considerably.

I'd think this last year, but this year I'd much rather go after Thabeet. Hibbert is slow and hasn't shown marked improvement, but Thabeet has taken huge strides.

He is a much better runner, shot blocker, and has improved in every statistical category this year.

Who the fuck is Dominic Mcguire
