+rep for being a big man...that takes guts
I started a Thread a few months ago about Ray not being a true PG, but more of a Combo Guard. I did not think he had the ability to be a true PG who could lead the team. Many times, some agreed and I believe Ray's play was indicative of what I was arguing. I argued that mgmnt must agree because they would not turn over the reins to him. And, I said that if given the reigns, he would have the chance to prove me wrong. If he could do so, that I would be first in line to say "I was wrong."
Since the cutting of McInnis, something has changed in Ray. I don't know if it is that the pressure of having to share time is gone, that he feels the mgmnt finally trusts him, or what. But, there is a clear change for the better in his attitude, confidence and play. He drives more, drives harder, and dishes very well. He takes big shots, and makes big shots and gets other players into the game. He is taking a 'leadership" role on the team.
Ray, I know it has only been a handful of games, but the change is clear to see, and it does in fact seem permanent in nature. This is great news for you and great news for the Bobcats and their fans. I congratulate you. You are a very good starting PG, and I stand corrected on my prior argument. I was wrong.

Thank you Tupac. But it is interesting that in moving up a point in my rep, I have now been assigned the name of someone not even on our team anymore - Walter Herrmann. I am not sure if this has some hidden meaning or not. Hey guys - Are you trading me?
ohara, thats based on post count. It probably needs some retuning since Primoz & Fabio are no longer with the Bobcats.
OK. I was a big fan of Walter and hated to see him go. I was just wondering why I was titled after someone no longer a Bobcat. Anyway, it's all good!
Good job, ohara. This makes a nice complement to my retired "JRich apology box"!!! I would probably have been in agreement with you concerning Raymond also, but I thought he deserved an uninterrupted stretch of games at PG in a conventional lineup before I condemned him. He may not have the moves, or be as smooth as Chrissy Paul, but you give Raymond low post scoring threats like David West and Tyson Chandler who all you have to do is toss the ball up in the vicinity and he slams it down, and he'd challenge Chrissy and Nash for the assists lead; I have no doubt about that!
We have our PG (which is such a damn good relief), we just need to get a solid big in the draft who understands how to operate offensively in the post, I think the Bobcats are set for the future..........

ray had ONLY two TO's on the wizards' game.
also, kudos ohara. glad you're on the same side now.![]()
TADSZ
I'm really enjoying this new, slower paced/more in control Felts. He's making better decisions with the ball and getting it to the open man rather than taking crazy shots himself.
Also, over the past 6 games he has been consistant - something that he has never really been.
It's only been 6 games but if he can keep this up I think he'll change a lot of peoples minds.
Just got to keep working on that shooting!!
