    Default Vincent.... the Adequate??

So with our newfound success after the departure of Jeff McInnis, how do we look at our coach now? Has Vincent turned the corner as an NBA head coaching rookie? Were our horribly abrasive opinions of him justified earlier in the season or was it just our Bobcats man love keeping us from being open minded? Also what do you think he's going to do with Wallace back and will this make us better or screw up the chemistry? Discuss!

Here is what I observe when I go to bobcats games, the majority of our offense comes from plays that were not set up by Vincent. He runs mainly two offensive sets that dont really work and are very stagnant. Jrich improvises very well, and felton pulls up from the top of the freethrow arc when there is nothing aswell. Sometimes we dish it to mek.

I would not attribute this streak to anything Vincent has done, it would all go to how the players have come together to have strong chemistry and to be able to improvise well.

With Wallace back, we may be in trouble because some of that chemistry will switch around less minutes for jared and matt jump out at me.

At this point there is no reason to shake the team up and lose vincent, but he better be gone by the summer, I give all the credit to the players and none to the coach.

His lineups can still be weird, Boykins and felton, crazy stuff...

He recently said, "I am beginning to listen to my players and trust them,"
That is unbelievable to me, to just begin to trust and listen to them now. We all knew he was excuses sam, but I didnt know that he also thought he was right about everything. Look what happens when you give players a little bit of credit for knowing the game of basketball, we can win a few.

Its not like these guys got here without playing and understanding the game really well...

    my thoughts.

The way I see it management got rid of McInnis so Ham Biscuit would stop putting him on the floor. It wasnt a thing he did to make things better. We still have a bad coach. The players are setting up plays on their own W/O the coach being envolved. So tell me do we need a new coach or not.........

Yeah both of those are very good points. The only time I ever really get to see them is only MyTV which makes my face melt, but nevertheless it's good to hear actual observations from the games. It sucks to hear that Vincent is still clueless and you're right about how sad it is that he's just now starting to listen to the players, but maybe with that first step as late as it is he's developing some sort of chemistry with them as well so I guess Crash coming back will be a nice barometer of how far Sam's progressed. It is nice to be on a little streak though regardless and I do feel a lot happier checking the boxscores everyday questionable coach or not hehe.

IMO, he's got to go. The fact that McInnis had to be waived for recent events to occur is evidence enough. The guys creating the wins have been there all year. Too bad Carroll and Dudley spent most of them on the bench. Or, with respect to Felton, playing out of position. It shouldn't take 50 games to figure this out. Biscuit should be held accountable for this fiasco. We need a real coach. We can't spare another season on this gamble. Enough said.

Agreed. There are few great head coaches in the NBA; but championships are made with them.

We don't have one. We got a Biscuit for brains.

He's adequate only when sits back and lets the team do what it can on it's on...which is pretty worthless for a coach.

Management takes his pacifier away in McInnis...Crash now takes the "playing PF" option away:

"I think my time at the 4 (position) is done,'' Wallace said, following his first full-contact practice since suffering a concussion Feb. 22 against the Sacramento Kings.

Wallace expects he'll be well enough to play Wednesday in Dallas. However, he's asked the coaches to stop using him at power forward, to cut down on some of the collisions with bigger players. He's suffered at least four concussions in his three-plus seasons as a Bobcat.

"It was fine playing 4, but I'd be better off out on the wing,'' Wallace said of returning to the small forward position.
    Per the Observer.

Vincent shouldn't even show up for the games.
Hope Resurrected: "I think I can bring an attitude to a team as far as, All right, no matter what, we are not losing this game'." - Kemba Walker

I think Vincent is starting to realize that he needs to listen to his players.
If Gerald is playing the 3 on Wednesday, it will be a huge step in improvement for our Ham Biscuit
