This will be one we have to disagree on. I see Lopez as tons better than Hibbert. A lot more moves down on the Posts.
Any chance of you Slammin that Mock Draft down on the Bobcats' Planet (or giving a link to where it might be found)?

I'm not a fan either. I think he'll make a nice starter for a mediocre team; or a nice backup for a good team. I just don't see the athleticism.
Mostly hoping someone else takes him so the Cats aren't tempted.
My take is the PF spot...Randolph...Love...failing that the best PG available; which jeez sorry but I think that Ty Lawson is the best (honestly no homerism I swear it), but Augustin would be fine too.
Mayo scares the bejeezus outa me.

At the moment it's all just guess work. If you really want to see it I'll create a thread for it though? Remember, it's just an early draft though!

The only thing I ask you to consider mate is this:
Lopez is the sole focus of the Stanford offense. It starts and ends with him. He scores 19ppg on 15 shot attempts per game over 31mpg.
The closest to him on the team is his brother who scores 10ppg on 7 shot attempts per game over 24mpg.
Hibbert averages 13ppg on only 8 shots per game over 26mpg. There are 4 other players on the Hoyas that average 10+ (or close enough to 10pts) per game.
So Hibbert gets as many mins and looks as Robin - no Brook.
The point is, Hibbert has a lot more talent around him with a much more balanced attack.
Give Roy as many mins and looks as Brook and you would see him score 20+ppg.
Plus, already in less mpg, Hibbert averages more assists and more blocks and in the extra 8mpg would no doubt average more rpg than B.Lopez too.
Hibbert is very tall!!![]()

One flaw. When you say that the Hoyas have four other players that perform, it's basically sounding like he's not a focal point on offense so he gets easier looks and less double teams, unlike Lopez.Originally Posted by Big Slam
For example, would you say that Kobe Bryant, being the focal point on offense and given many shots, isn't as good as Richard Hamilton with all of the talent that performs around him being 4 players that score in double digits. Give Rip Hamilton the ball and put him in Kobe's shoes and there's no way he performs as well. Improved stats, yes, but as much of a game changer and results definitely not.
*Edit - Hamilton's stats would improve if he was the focus, but wouldn't be better than Kobe's by any means.

You're kidding..................right?
I think Hibbert is overrated IMO. When he has to be limited minutes and cannot keep up with the speed of a college game, just imagine what it'll be like at the NBA level.
Also, remember this stat line against Davidson: 6 points, 1 rebound, 1 block and 3 turnovers. 7 of 9 of his teammates had more rebounds than him in varying degrees of minutes.
He may be 7'2 but the NBA is much quicker which is his major weakness is that he's got slow legs. The likes of Dwight Howard and Amare against him with their quickness gives me nightmares.
