plus sometimes the reason he gets less minutes is because he is in foul trouble. Now theres a problem worth worrying about

I think Hibbert is overrated IMO. When he has to be limited minutes and cannot keep up with the speed of a college game, just imagine what it'll be like at the NBA level.

Also, remember this stat line against Davidson: 6 points, 1 rebound, 1 block and 3 turnovers. 7 of 9 of his teammates had more rebounds than him in varying degrees of minutes.

He may be 7'2 but the NBA is much quicker which is his major weakness is that he's got slow legs. The likes of Dwight Howard and Amare against him with their quickness gives me nightmares.

He averaged 2.7 fouls in college PLUS you get an additional foul in the NBA to burn. Him fouling out is not and has never been a problem.

He fouled out TWICE all season. For the entire season (which includes the Davidson game).

His fouling is not something to be concerned about.

Here's what ESPN has to say about Hibbert:

Is it time to stick a fork in Roy Hibbert's draft stock? The Georgetown big man has been on the NBA radar screen for the past three years but hasn't really shown much improvement. He ended his college career with 6 points and 1 rebound in 16 foul-plagued minutes against Davidson, which had zero size to match up against him. Hibbert should've been able to score at will, but he fell into foul trouble and out of the game.

Hibbert has great size and skill, but his lack of athleticism, rebounding and lateral quickness could really hurt him in the NBA. I haven't met a scout who's had him in the lottery since December. And it's rare to find him in the top 20 nowadays since most scouts believe he won't be anything but a decent backup in the league. Still, his size may help him into the mid-first round. vv
Sorry Slam, I just don't see where he's that great(in the terms of lottery). I like the Timberwolves taking a player that is seasoned since they are a very young team, but I think they'll go with D.J. Augustin to form a lethal backcourt of Augistin/Foye. Telfair is not the answer as a starter but is a good backup and spot starter on an improving team. They could also go with Bayless or Griffin who would open things up for Jefferson with both of their awesome offensive skills.

I'd even put Hibbert with the Bulls @ 10, Nets @ 15, but I like him best on the Cavs @ 19. He could develop into a great replacement for Zydrunas.

Slam i allmost agree with you on this one , My first realistic choice is Love, then Hibbert , Shot me then the kid from Ucon then Lopez.
Lopez can play but his offence looks a lot like OK50s like a machine. And no where near as strong on defence.

    Thanks Ammofan!
