He's a better defender than Flash, but not as good on offense. He has an offensive game some what like Ellis, but without the mid range. More like Delonte West maybe?

His defensive really is something though.

I still want Anthony Randolph if he's there at 8 not to take anything away from Westbrook but if he pans out in the league like the scouts expect (Chris Bosh, Lamar Odom type of forward) we would be kicking ourselves for passing up on someone that would be the perfect compliment next to Mek just my take on things.

Randolph has a lot of up side . Westbrook is a sure thing . The Randolph kid could end up any where between Bosh and Davidson , As for Westbrook we know he will be in the rotation from the start, fighting for a starting job.
If we decided to trade Wallace for a big we could even start him at the two with his defencive abilitys. And bring Ammo off the bench for scoring.
Agreeded we have to have a four through free agency , trade or the draft. Thats more important than Westbrook.

I wish I knew more about these guys!

Thing is Eaton Jordan is wanting to compete now and we don't have the existing pieces to where we can afford to wait on a project. I would dearly love to pull a Bosh type 4 out of the draft because that position is going to be much more expensive to fill than a competent combo guard.

What's the projection on how soon Randolph can help?

Reading up on him spectre most sites have him listed at different weights I've seen 200, to 210 and also 220 pounds reguardless I think he'll be undersized his rookie year so I don't expect him to have an immediate impact at the four on the next level but he should be able to contribute right away because of his versatility offensively and his great rebounding. If our team is patient with the kid and he continues to work on his jumper and bulks up even more as he gets older (keep in mind he's only 18 right now) we could have a special player on our hands.

I only wish I could find some damn footage on the guy but here is a nice read from Hoopsvibe.

I assume that would depend on his BBIQ. Like everyone else, I wish I had seen him play to know what his smarts are like. He's obviously athletic and if what has been written by DX etc is correct, is versitile. If nothing else, he can hit the pick and pop and get some weak side blocks.

    Year 1 Bosh was a 11ppg, 7rpg, 1.5bpg player

    Year 1 Davidson was a 3ppg, 2rpg, .5bpg player

I would expect Randolph to be some where in the middle 8ppg, 5rpg, 1bpg maybe? But like Bosh, I would expect him to really mature towards the end of year 2 and start making a big difference by year 3.

Dav - I think that Westbrook is far from a sure thing.

I found this image and had to bump this thread.
He, J-Rich and Crash running the break would create tons of posterization opportunities.

Does he remind anyone else of a young Baron Davis?
