Greene is one of those typical cases where you look at his stats and think "wow, we HAVE to have this guy"!! What's not to love?

6'10", 230lbs
18ppg, 7rpg, 2apg, 1.5 steals, 1.6 blocks.
Shoots the 3 ball as well

That's eye popping stuff!!

I know that reading his stats forced me to watch about 5 Syracuse games this year - and when I did, I saw something that the stats can't show. While the numbers are good, the way he goes about getting them are not. I doubt he's ever seen a shot that he didn't want to take!! I've never seen him post up once and most of his shots are catch and shoot. He has great lift and form (I should know, I watched him shoot what seemed like a million times!!) but even though his size would have you think it, he's NOT a PF at all. He loves to hang our and float around the 3pt line and jack up shots.

Don't get me wrong, he'll be perfect for a team who is looking for a scorer - and in time he might even be a franchise type playing. He has the size, the all around game, he just needs to work more on creating his own.

Honestly, I'd like to see him stay another yr. Another yr of Big East ball, and he will learn so much more and be a Lottery lock in 09. If he comes out now, his weaknesses will set him back and he will not get enough PT to improve in the manner he would need.
