Like his skills but only if Felton left, as he's useless anywhere but at the point.
Got to admit, I loved the kid last year. But then when Durant left, I wondered what sort of year he would have. As it's turned out, it's been nothing short of stella. He has such poise and control when he has the ball. He has a great understanding of the game and how to get the ball to the right guy in the right spot. His team mates have faith in him and he rewards them for it by playing the way he does. Equally apt at scoring as he is passing, he usually looks to set his team mates up first before getting his own. Gets into the lane with ease using hesiation steps, jab steps and a lighting 1st step. Once there can either go right to the rack, let go a soft tear drop or step back and fade away making the most difficult shots look easy. A pesky defender who is not afraid to take a charge from much bigger players who has quick hands. A little on the small size though.
Comparisons: Nash (offense) meets TJ Ford (pg skills)
Best Fits: Bobcats, Clipps, Knicks, Pacers

Who the fuck is Dominic Mcguire
I would not want him at #7, but if we obtain another Lottery pick via a trade, I would take him after #7, for sure. I think he could not only push Ray, but possibly supplant him at the starting PG. I would not try to make him the starter, but if he earns it, then Ray can play back up PG and SG and still get good minutes. **But, I would only do that IF I took a Big at #7. If I took Mayo at #7, no way do I take Augustin also.
I'm watching the Sweet 16 and Texas Vs Stanford and I swear, every single time I've watched DJ play this year he's made me forget about every other draft prospect not named Michael Beasley or Derrick Rose and dream what it would be like to have him on the Bobcats leading our team.
Does that tell me something?
He tore up Stanford tonight. Just making his case for the Lottery.
He's a lock for the lottery. Has been all year. It'll just be a matter of how high he will go.
Anyone who has a problem with his height needs to look at tonights game and see how easily he scored against a team with two legit, quality defensive 7 footers on it.
The kid is really something and, depending on who he is drafted by, is a lock for RoY.

SLAM: I hear you and I'm liking what you're saying. I've had a strangely different take; but I'll trust yours. It seemed to me last year that DJ was the choke point that killed Texas in critical games. Too many bad shots.
Then the only times I've really seen him play this year; he's always done the same darn thing. Admittedly though, I haven't seen him much. Sounds good to me!
Bobcats Redemption?
Keetch I thought that Abrahams hurt them more last year than anyone with bad shot selection. That and the fact that they had such a amazing talent in Durant on the team that they all looked to him too often.
I remember watching LMA the year before and screaming and Boobie Gibson because he rarely looked for LMA on the break so seeing DJ the following year was a welcome change.
You are right about some suspect times this year though - mainly at the line - with DJ. Thre has been one or two times that he could have iced the game at the line and instead got the "yips"
We only got 6 minute stretches of the Texas game here, but I did get to see about 3 very NICE plays before the half.
Regardless of whether he could supplant Felton or not we need some depth at the PG slot and assuming he can at worst be the 1st backup having Augustin on a rookie deal is very attractive to me.
I really like the idea of Mayo and I'd probably take him 3rd, most definitely if he's at our most likely pick of 7th-8th. If he's gone would Augustin be that bad of a reach for our pick? I know we need a starter for the PF slot, but I'm not so sure there are "for sure" starters there for us (and remembering DNB's big man thread).
