Default Charlotte Bobcats MVP for 2007-08 Season

With the season ending soon, which among the bobcats have perform best this season? Considering numbers improvement, expectations and other factors in determining the performance n growth of a player... i think only two bobcat has shown satisfying performances this season n both new members coincidentally. First is Nazr, i know he is not a gasol or amare who are stars n had played only half a season but with the performance we expected coming from a player like him i say its very satisfactory. In fact he has even outplayed our main big in emeka most of the time.. And the other is of course J-Rich, our MVP, literally re-writing most of the records in bobcat history in a season. He is having the best season any bobcat had in its 4 years of existence.. definitely, the best bobcat player we have had in our history..

For the most disappointing, its a toss up between emeka n ray.. for obvious reasons..

Worst coach of the year (maybe of all time): Vincent, hands down..

My MVP is J-Rich. I love Crash, but J-Rich carried us in several of our victories.

Most disappointing - Okafor by a mile

Coach's grade - D+ I wont FAIL him as he did make a few strides in learning and has run a good rotation when he finds it working. Also, he did lose 2 key contributors before the Season started, and Okafor basically took 2/3 of the Season off. Rookie Coach has a little play room, but Vincent used all his up.

Who is on the hotseat next season? Management, especially MJ. They have to make the right moves this off season, make hay with the Draft, and put together some guys who will gel together and make this team one to be feared by its opponents.

Jrich no doubt. Anyone who doesnt say it is crazy. Hes a better version of Ray Allen, and gets no real hype.

    JRich.

No question. I also agree with your other awards, Wil.

    j-rich

honestly i don't understand how people are STILL saying felton is dissapointing...didn't we go through this last month where everybody apologized for being down on him since we realized he's one of the best things for this team?

he rarely gets less than 7 assists a night...he can hit a big shot...he actually CARES about this team

sure he has his cons he shoots too much and can dissapear at times...but honestly do you expect anybody else we can feasably get to do better?

    +1.

Felts gets WAY too much hate.  If we'd done what most teams would do and actually invest a season into him with the coaching staff's confidence that he can be the leader then we wouldn't be in this boat concerning Felton (5th overall pick don't ya know).  So long as we continue to put his growth at PG on the backburner he'll never get thru the growing pains and he'll never develop like we want.

A small mean part of me would like to see the team replace him with a Jarrett Jack or Marcus Williams...THEN we'd see what a below average PG looks like trying to run a young squad.

Let the man learn his job without nitpicking every.....little.....thing.

I was agreeing with the Emeka earning the most disappointing award. I like Raymond. We could do so much worse than him, and we certainly can't spend time worrying about him not being Chris Paul (which, thankfully, no one's done on this thread yet).

J-Rich adopted a totally a new system and a new role. We've all witnessed his adaptation process during the season. Finally, it looks like he's settled in his new role. And especially in last 3-4 months, he's been usually playing like a legendary scorer. So that's why he's being my MVP of this season.

Next year, I expect him to be an All-star and a 23-24 ppg scorer for us.
