    Wright:
    10.1 MPG (6 starts) 4.0 PPG 2.7 RPG 0.3 APG 0.2 SPG 0.6 BPG

    Davidson
    8.7 MPG (2 starts) 3.3 PPG 1.7 RPG 0.3 APG 0.2 SPG 0.4 BPG

    Pretty even stats

True. And even better yet, one was taken in Lottery at #8 and the other mid 2nd round. I'm happy with that trade.

there is no question. it was 100% the better move. Brandon Wright is useless.

Wow, I got a lot more replies than I anticipated with this one..but now I think my reasoning might be a little more evident over the past week. Granted, the team isn't playing for anything but pride anymore, and sometimes not even that. But, the fact remains that we don't rebound well enough.

I realize J-Rich can score. Yes, very good. Yes, I feel like he is one of the main reasons we actually won as many games as we did this year. But he's moving into the prime/twilight stage and he's not exactly doing to crash the boards. I feel as if we wouldn't need the help if Ryan Hollins could just settle down a little or Okafor, could for the love of all that is human, find a way to finish at the basket both on dunks/lay-ins and rebounds (I mean, is there a game where he doesn't have the ball stolen from someone a hundred pounds lighter than him??).

I don't want to make sweeping generalizations in saying that we can't play strong post teams. It just seems that way in every game I've watched against a team with strong post players. Okafor goes submissive, and the rest of the team shoots 40 shots from beyond the arc.

So, while I never said it was a "bad" trade, I just wonder if some type of rebounding would have helped more this season rather than better shooting. It may just be 6 of 1 and half a dozen of another. I just think that perimeter big defense and some extra boarding would have done more for the future of this franchise than a dynamic scorer...

Well, he was in the D-league for a good portion of the season and has essentially matched Davidson with his numbers in the NBA. So, my question is, would Wright have netted us those extra rebounds? Would he been that much better of a defender at the 4 spot than what we have, especially with our current coaching staff?

Wright may be good in a couple of seasons, but I don't think we'd be any better in the slightest with him rather than Richardson, unless you consider "better" the number of ping pong balls we have.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

You could be super-pessimistic and look at this way . . .

If we'd kept Wright we'd have money to spend this off-season. Good money.
We'd be right in the hunt for lots and lots of lottery balls and Rose or Beasley would be much more likely. Sam Vincent could use it as his excuse and Non-Tar Heels Bobcats fans would get to sound the whine alarm even more.

Neither Davidson nor Wright has had enough burn this season to make any sort of judgement, at all. So comparing their stats is useless.

But, if you're asking my opinion. JRich was a good trade. The above was just a tangent.
