    Default Morrison and May

Last year Morrison and May was no help at all to the team .
    1. Morrison has yet to prove he even belongs in the NBA. If any roll at all what roll do you see Morrison having next year on a team filled with wings.
    2. May has proven very little all so except he can play when hes healthy. What do you see his role being next year . With no power fowards.
Does either have any value or is that just seven milion dollars paid out for two BUST players.

    Your openions

Maybe I see things too half full at times, but I think they may prove something this coming season. Perhaps not at the level we originially expected, but will be able to contribute to our team in different ways. A lot depends on the coach, I think a coach like Larry Brown can instill some discipline and if they don't want to work hard then they will be gone simple as that. My predictions are below:

Adam Morrison-I think he will provide a spark off the bench for scoring, but I doubt he will be a solid starter to count on. A #3 pick was a bit high for a player like this.

Sean May- Hopefully he is working hard in the weight room and not at a buffet table. If he could whip himself into shape he could be a reliable power forward to get rebounds and hit 18 foot jump shots on a pick and roll. FWIW a poster on another site said he saw Larry Brown and Sean May together in Charleston over the weekend. Of course this could be totally bogus, but if true, maybe Sean May needs that tough coach to invest into him to get him going. Again, probably too high of a pick to use on a player like this, but hey I would love for these guys to surprise me!

Come on! Have I been the only one WATCHING! and LISTENING?

People called Morrison a gym rat. So he likes to shoot in the gym all the time. WHICH MEANS........... HE WORKS ON HIS GAME ALL THE TIME. Now I'm not just talking about shooting. This guy passionate about the game and is constantly working to better himself. A man like that doesn't just want to be a bench player. He's working for greatness.

Gilbert Arenas is working on his game all the time.
Kobe Bryant is working on his game all the time.

Does Jeff McInnis work on his game all the time? No! That's why he's a sorry player.

Morrison did come off a bad year. A ROOKIE YEAR!!!! What do you expect out of this guy? He had a bad rookie year, and got injured his next. Now you basing your shit opinion off those 2 seasons?

3rd pick was a bit too high for him.

Yeah if you base his WHOLE 1 year career. You've got to see him playing to judge him. I saw him in Pre-season before he got hurt and I saw a different player. Offensively and DEFENSIVELY! When you have a bad year, they only place to go is UP! So he can only get better. That's common knowledge in more subjects than sports.

Or we can go by M.Peezie's opinion on a basketball player.

3rd pick was a bit too high for him.

I take offense to this because I play basketball. Not in a HIGH CLASS association, but that's not the point.

The point is that if I had a bad season in a league and people judged me on just one season of play, that would piss me off. I know I would come back to play better. Then it's like not giving someone a chance just off 1 season. Not even allowing someone to prove themselves better.

3rd pick was a bit too high for him.

We don't know yet. Will we? YES!

    bench player... ha.

I could say that your quick to judge, but i'd rather say your dumb.

    and wrong.

Hmm... Maybe Larry Brown's "daughter's birthday" is code for "hang with Sean May in Charleston."

If this were true - and it's extremely hard not to doubt it - then I would already be very happy with the direction that Brown would be taking the team. Of course, he's not even the coach yet, so....

Heh Steve, I know you were using McInnis as an example for a bad player (and he was), but I think he does hang in the gym a lot. Sposedly that's where the idiot got to liking him so much when he first came on.

But guys...come on! These 2 are worth 40 points per game and their absence kept us out of the playoffs this year!

    Show some love!

That's true spectre, add those two guys into the mix and we'd be lauding the greatness of Coach-of-the-Year Sam Vincent and would be playing the Wizards in the first round of the Playoffs as the 4th seed.

Whoa...that kind of sucked. Maybe shoulda stopped at "quick to judge"? which was fair enough.

No personal attacks please; yes even over such outrageous statements as the 3rd pick being a bit too high for a player like Ammo.

I think its more than a little bit unfair to say Morrison has yet to prove he belongs when he has done one thing Sean May never has. Go through a full season. In my opinion, Morrison showed every bit as much talent and ability at the next level as Sean May has. He just happens to have more hype and play at a loaded position so people can't wait to say hes a bust.

If you ask me... I'd keep Morrison over May any day. At least Morrison has showed about a 10th of interest in basketball. Id rather have a guy try and fail on my team than a guy eat himself to death.

I could say it's a personal attack, but I'd rather think of it as stating the obvious.

Must, im not saying i don't like Morrison or May. And i am not saying im not wishing both the best.

Facts for all you guys ,First MORRISON just came from a ACL seregy. Yes a carer ending injery for most players. He will NEVER have the mobility in that leg again. Morrison being slow in the first place doesn't help at all .In my openion his chances of coming back are about twenty percent. That doesn't reflect on Morrison as a person it reflects on the injery.
Even if he does make it back it will be hard to jump a head of Dudley because of defence. Lary Brown is a defencive coach which will make things much harder for Morrison trying to be careful not to hurt the knee again.
May i agree with most . Hes brought a lot of this on his self by not staying in shape. Micro fracture segery is new for me and i don't know the sesess of it. But i will say it's no way it can be worse than a ACL segery . Though i think it can be a carer ending segery too.I don't think May has the work ethic thet Morrison has. But i would still give him a better chance of returning than Morrison, about a fourty percent chance. If he does come back he has a much better chance of playing or even starting than Morrison because he has very little compitition at the power foward spot.
I like both players but right now i would rather have that combined seven million to invest on a proven power foward. As i don't think either player will come back and be a real good player after such severe segerys.
May and Morrison please prove me stupid .OK
