    Default Larry Brown's staff

This article discusses Larry Brown's possible staff.
Larry Brown, 67, has already said that fellow Tar Heel Phil Ford will be retained from fired Coach Sam Vincent's staff (Ford will be invaluable, acting as a buffer between Larry and another Tar Heel, Raymond Felton, since we've all heard the stories of how brutal Larry can be on point guards.). Larry said loyalty will be the main qualification to be on his staff. Media reports in Charlotte say he'd like to round up his old gang: Dave Hanners, John Kuester and perhaps Eric Snow if he retires.
What do you guys know about Dave Hanners and John Kuester? I'm sure these guys are good (better than Biscuit and company) but just wanted to find out a little about their background. Also who do you think would be a good edition to the staff? I'd like to have someone on the staff that they are grooming as a replacement that will be able to take over in 3 to 4 years.

    Thoughts?

He should have the same staff like when he was with 76ers or Pistons.

Do you think they would go after someone like Mark Jackson or even Derek Anderson. A player type with asperations of being a head coach. Maybe even Hambiscut so he could learn how to coach and set up rotation. (sam vincent)

sam vincent cant come anywhere near this franchise anymore...100 mile restraining order would be nice

i think DA could be a good one for assistant since he knows the players on a level probably more than any coach and could be more of an ambassador than a coach and make sure the players are good with everything

MJ should make sure that DA is an assistant and then let Coach Brown hire any of his people that he wants. DA's loyal - maybe not to LB specifically - but certainly to the Bobcats.

Make DA assistant while Brown is here and then make him head coach when Brown leaves.

Ewing was wanting a chance to coach the Knicks. I think I'd like to give him a shot at an asst coach for the Bobcats. If after a couple years he proves he has what it takes, and Larry tells MJ so, then he could be our Coach in training. I'd be happy with Ewing.

why would ewing leave Orlando though, where he is working to help mold one of the best bigmen in the league for Charlotte?
