    Default My Draft Plan

I spent time in deep meditation on this matter, and have come up with the scenario I would like to see play out at the Draft. Some will like it, some will not. Let me know your thoughts, and then post your own scenario you would like to see play out at the Draft.

    CHAR OUT / SEATTLE IN
    #9 pick
Ray Felton PG 14.4 pts 7.4 assts $3.3 mil
    Nazr Moham. C 7.8 pts 6 reb $5.6 mil
    AND EITHER:
Sean May PF 12 pts 6.5 reb $1.9 mil
or Adam Morrison SF 12 pts $3.9 mil

    SEATTLE OUT / CHAR IN
    #4 pick and #24 pick
Chris Wilcox PF 13.4 pts 7 reb $6.5 mil
Earl Watson PG 10.7 pts 6.8 asts $5.8 mil

Seattle drafts either Kevin Love to play PF, or Gallinari to play SF if they do not feel Jeff Green can hold down the spot. They get improved at PG and Center as Ray is better than Watson and Petro is not starter material. They needed both positions improved and got both improved, and also get a quality player at #9 as well as May or Morrison who can prove a solid bench player if they do overcome their injuries.

Charlotte drafts either Mayo or Bayless with #4 to play the PG, and they now have a quality backup in Earl Watson. They get McGee/Ibaka/Jawai with #24 to play that PF/C position to help Wilcox and Okafor. Also, if Okafor walks after next yr, we have someone who can hold down the Center. With #38, it really depends on if we traded Morrison or May. I would want either Brandon Rush - SF Kansas (likely gone tho) Kyle Weaver - Combo Guard Washington St. Courtney Lee - SG West. Ky or Bill Walker - SF Kansas St.

    Charlotte Team:
PG Bayless or Mayo / Watson
    SG J-Rich / Carroll / #38
SF Crash / Dudley / Ammo or #38
PF Wilcox / #24 / Dudley / May or Davidson
    C Okafor / #24 / Hollins

That's what I want to happen. Like it? Hate it? Let me know, and then tell me what you want to happen.

Sounds good to me....I just dont think Seattle will want Morrison because they have Durant at Shooting guard and Green at SF so the is no spot for Adam. They would probablt want May...

Just a new perspective on things. I happen to like Corey Maggette, and there is a good chance he is opting out of Clipperland. Can we grab him as our SF? Would he cost much more than we landed Crash for at $9.5 mil? He is just as much a threat and more than Crash. Grab Maggette, then trade Crash/Carroll for a Lottery pick. Then, we draft both Westbrook and Love, and let Love start at PF and Westbrook play back up PG and SG.

Is that more sound than trying to land Brand and taking a chance his achilles heel injury is not going to sidetrack him? I just have worries that his injury will allow him to play well, but not what he was before the injury. That is the type of injury which takes away one's explosiveness and takes away your hops.

I dont know. Just brainstorming on ways to make us better and get what we want and need.
