trade or if we have to Jordan
QueenCityHoops is participating in Ridiculous Upside's blogger mock draft. And the Cats are on the clock. Here is the order of picks so far:
1. Rose
2. Beasley
3. Mayo
4. Eric Gordon
5. Kevin Love
6. Westbrook
7. Bayless
8. Randolph
So, the Bobcats are looking at Brook Lopez, Joe Alexander, DJ Augustin, and DeAndre Jordan. The question is: Who should get the nod? Time sensitive, so weigh in quick.
trade or if we have to Jordan
Good to see you back QC!
I'm with Chef...trade the hell out of that pick! If that isn't an option though I'd probably go with Alexander, then trade him after the fact.
since its just a mock draft and nobody wants to deal with trades... just take Jordan.
Well, this is like a worst case scenario, where NO ONE I'm especially excited about drops to the Bobcats.
So I'd take DeAndre Jordan because he's big and athletic. Hopefully someone will teach him what to do besides run up and down the court (athletically) and then stand around. There will be Kwame Brown comparisons, but at least this is the 9th pick and not the 1st; so if he busts, he busts.
The guy I'd WANT though is Joe Alexander. But I just don't see where he fits with Crash, Dudley and AMMO all at SF and even JRich productive there. If I had a few beers in me though when the #9 came around I might just think "screw this" and take Joe.
So hopefully there will be much cold beer in the Bobcats war room.
Bobcats Redemption?
If this is how the draft actually panned out then I would probably want to trade the pick but in this case I would just take Jordan.
REALLY!? Hmmmm...ooo boy the UPSIDE man keep thinking about the UPSIDE!
If they do draft Jordan, I'll be all about the HOPE and the UPSIDE, absolutely. It's hardly the end of the world. We can take the ride and see if he grows up into his potential. It could be great!
Bobcats Redemption?
Chad Ford's 5.0 Mock came out today, and for the 3rd straight time he has us taking Brook Lopez. He must have some insight about us taking Lopez and moving Okafor to PF. I think this is where we are going absent a preferred Trade.
