I guess everyone forgot that during one of our draft workouts last week that LB stated that we had a really good PG already(Felts). There's absolutely no way we trade Ray unless we can somehow get someone like Billups in return which isn't very likely. Do you really think that LB, a guy who is hard on PG's and doesn't really like starting rookies go into the season with DJ as his starter? No way.
PG: Ray/DJ
SG: JRich/Carroll/Weaver
doesn't look like we're trading Ray unless it's for something good
This is a smart man! It makes absolutely NO sense to trade Raymond when you only have a rookie waiting in the wings. I don't see how drafting Weaver makes Raymond expendable; they don't even play the same position. Believe it or not, I'm starting to warm to the Smurf, but only as a backup to Raymond; I really think that's going to be a special position for us.
"The Charlotte Hornets name has been a mainstay throughout the region for many years, and we are excited to announce our intention to re-establish this historic brand. We believe that its return will galvanize our fan base by unifying our loyal Bobcats fans with those who have strong memories of our city's NBA predecessor." MJ, 5-21-13
It makes me warm and happy that TheBeagle has warmed to DJ "Full House" Augustin, however much that may be.
He had some pretty impressive #s in the last two years and has lots of accolades. I agree that the Cousy award doesn't mean much, but I think being an all-american speaks volumes on his game in college. Hopefully LB will mold him into a fine NBA PG.
Yeah, and I'd be floored if Ray was gone. Starting a PG freshman with another fresh backup, nope. The only way Ray goes is if we get someone back in the trade who is a serviceable veteran PG along with the main piece of the trade, or if the main piece of the trade is a PG (billups).
