If he was 6-3 or so he would have been a top 5 pick. Size is his issue not his skills. I'm happy we got him instead of TJ Ford. Puke!
well, to those who are a little down about augustin, watch this like i just did...and remember, he avgeraged 19 ppg, so, he can definitlely score when he has to. he is very quick and an excellent ball handler...also, i think the whole "projection" thing is largely a bandwagon-type contest to an extent...we as fans usually go by what the workout "experts" say and it gets trapped in our heads who should be picked where. now honestly, just think if augustin was "projected" to go #5 or higher and bayless or westbrook were the ones who were "projected" to go a few picks later (and all other factors were constant)...we would probably be ecstatic that we got augustin (we would all be wanting an augustin jersey tomorrow!), just by what the so called "projections" were, even though we will not be able to tell who, between the three players (westbrook, bayless, augustin) is initially a better pro until the season starts. now i agree, the first couple of picks are usually correct projections (1-4) but after that, it gets cloudier, and as for the NBA draft, that is why nobody hardly ever correctly projects the picks...it is wide open and more based on opinion and hype after the first few picks..............so after all this, i am just saying, we don't know what we have until augustin officially takes the court, and the other teams (westbrook, bayless) don't know what they have yet either, so we just need to be patient and see what is in store
...just my 2 cents...thanks
