I almost have to think that Larry and MJ are happy with Adam Morrison and Jared Dudley if they were gonna give away Crash for basically nothing like that.

I agree with Ammofan. I think we are waiting for the July 1 FA signing period, and then Felton is going. Someone likely has to do a S&T. I think Ray goes likely for a PF we want and a respectable PG. It would not surprise me if Ajinca is a part of the deal. To a team that can afford to have him sit 2 years behind someone else being groomed for the job. I think we are going to want a PG who can hold his own to start for part of the season while DJ gets his feet wet. Then DJ starts. Boy, I really would like it if it was the Clippers. I really do want Thorton. And they could let him learn behind Brand. I dont think Brand is going anywhere.

I personally would like to see us make a run at josh smith. I know we need a PF w/ more offensive versatility but he's still rounding out his offensive game and we've already seen what he can do defensively, and rebounding the ball

Not to mention his freakish athleticism, w/ him crash and swish its lob passes all day!

Over on RGM, one of the Threads is a SAC-CHAR trade which had both sides fairly liking it. Artest for Felton and Ammo. I know Artest is 246 lbs and 6-7. His weight is OK, but a little small. He is listed as a SF, but can he play PF?
**It's not often you find a Thread where fans of both teams seem to think the deal is a good one.

although I love josh smith...i would not want him and crash on the same team...they're basically the same player (except josh is better at blocking and crash better at steals)...one big weakness...neither can shoot...I would trade gerald wallace for josh smith though (only because josh smith is less injury prone while being just as effective...)

i think that's a big problem with the bobcats...we don't have enough good shooters...basically we have Jrich and Carroll (a bench player) that are our shooters...i'm glad we got DJ, a good penetrating PG who can stretch the D with his consistent shooting touch

anyway, I just wanna see what see what we will do about the PF position in the offseason...if that means a sign and trade, then so be it...just hope it improves our team and doesn't set us back

We don't want Artest. As good as he is, his attitude always seems to take first stage, even when he tries to be a good guy. Plus, I don't think he's that much of a difference maker. To me, he has a higher skill set than Wallace, but is less effective overall.
