Default Bobcats Playing Summer League 2008 in Las Vegas

    Here's our schedule:

July 12 6:00 PM ET Charlotte vs. LA Clippers COX Pavilion
July 13 4:00 PM ET Charlotte vs. New Orleans COX Pavilion
July 15 10:30 PM ET Charlotte vs. Golden State Thomas & Mack Center
July 18 6:00 PM ET Charlotte vs. Detroit COX Pavilion
July 19 4:00 PM ET New York vs. Charlotte* COX Pavilion
The asterisk beside "Charlotte" in the game versus the Knickerbockers likely implies that the game will be televised on NBAtv, but do not fear, ALL games will be streamed live on NBA.com.

Coach Brown is coaching in Vegas for us if I'm not mistaken right? I can't wait to see our draft picks and if our guys from last year that will be playing there have improved or not.

I really am stupid excited about this. I just hope the video is better than Orlando's, i dont even mind the tool bag commentators as long as the video is decent.

    * EDIT - just watched some NBA.com summer league video from last year and i am very encouraged. it looks like most games have normal tv coverage like a real game gets. announcers and multiple cameras. replays also. thats awesome.

also, if you get a chance and you wanna see some summer league highlights, do yourself a favor and check out last summer leagues top ten plays. Rudy Gay has a dunk on Yi that is just disturbing.

go here and click the link on the right that says top ten vegas highlights. its worth it. http://www.nba.com/summerleague2008/

Ex-Canes file: The Heat spoke with ex-Clippers guard Guillermo Diaz, but he joined Charlotte's summer program instead.

Do you guys remember him from Miami? Seems to be a "Bayless" type player...short, sweet stroke, can penetrate at will but so-so PG skills.

All I know is that he has some major ups for a guy that's only 6"1 our SL team should be very fun to watch.

It's of course too late now, but I'm wondering if it would be fun to go to Vegas for summer league. I know Vegas is fun, but can you get tickets easily? Totally random and I'm really just looking for an excuse to go to Vegas.

He was that kid who played volley ball, has a 42" vert but hurt his knee?

Wow, are we ever going into SL heavy at the point spot!!

DJ, Weaver, Greene and now Diaz?

P.S. I think I remember reading a few years back that Diaz didn't have a good grasp of the English language and that was holding him back.

    I might be wrong though?
