Default Forrest Griffin new UFC 205 lb champ

I have to admit that I was surprised Forrest won. I know he is very tough, but I thought Rampage was going to be champ for a while after he KO'd Chuck Liddell, and won a decision in a great fight against Dan Henderson.

This fight was a good one, and I thought Rampage had Forrest knocked out in the 1st round. Forrest really got him with the leg kicks though, that negated a lot of Rampages power. Thats what I love about UFC, you might think you know who will win, but there are plenty of upsets. I put the link below if anyone else wants to see the fight.

I thought that fight should have been scored a draw with Jackson retaining his title, I have no idea how the judges scored that a unanimous decision on Griffin's behalf since he didn't really hurt Jackson besides those leg kicks while Jackson connected more strikes and even rocked Griffin a few times. But anyways in the future I see Rampage having rematches against Wanderlei Silva, Chuck and maybe even Shogun we could see a ton of great fights in the near future in the 205 division.

I guess we are the only people who care about UFC on here. I thought it was a close fight, but it seemed to me that Forrest was the more active of the 2. Besides a few big shots from Rampage I thought he was the agressor and maybe thats why the judges gave it to him. I would have to say Rampage won round 1, and probably 4, but I think Forrest got the rest. Forrest certainly earned my respect, he didn't beat tomato cans to get the title.

I am anxious to see who's next at 205. I don't think Chuck Liddell wants to fight Rampage again, seeing as how he got beat twice. I wouldn't be surprised to see Chuck fight Forrest though, since Chuck and Dana White are buddies. I would love to see Anderson Silva beef up and go against the 205ers though, or drop and fight GSP.

^Sad thing is that division is so stacked he'll have to fight his way back up instead of getting a immediate rematch like he should get.

Anderson Silva is actually moving up to the 205 division on July 19th he'll have his first 205 bout free on Spike TV against James Irvin.

I just saw this on Spike. That is crazy to see Anderson Silva at 205! I am excited to see what he will do, if he will mow through the field at 205. I think he will find it more challenging here than 185. James Irvin is no slouch, but I don't think he will be any competition for Silva.

I always knew Silva was a beast but I realized he's the best pound for pound mixed martial artist in the world after seeing this...

    He's amazing.

Just watched Silva's debut at 205, man it wasn't even fair. I was expecting a little more from James Irvin, but Silva made "the sandman" visit the sandman pretty quick. I know Silva said he would fight mostly at 185, but if he wanted to stay at 205 then Forrest would have no chance. Silva is ridiculous!

I wonder what Forrest thought to himself while watching Anderson do that to James Irvin. In the future I could honestly see him holding both the Light heavyweight belt and the middleweight one.
